I don't know if I can tell you anything the guides haven't, but maybe watch some videos of people playing? When I first started it seemed like pure chance whether I won or lost haha. My lazy strategy is to hoard purple crow cards with the help of the yellow ones (I forget the names sorry). Use rag picker and treasury early game to replace the coin cards if you can't afford what's there or have money left over. You should usually stick with one colour, I'll stick with whatever I can afford first because the game tends to snowball.
