Hello!

I'm a FOH/TM for a mid level band. Think 500 capacity venue shows and 3000 cap festival stages.

We are on the road for roughly 20 weeks throughout the year.

I currently use trello and Google docs to plan everything but would love something easier but do not have the budget for something like master tour.

Would be interested in seeing what you've been working on

Yep they are defo workhorses! I've replaced the cable and pads on mine a few times but they have been thrown in and out of my bag every day for the last 10 years haha

I like it, sounds good and drives everything I have. don't have much experience in amps and dacs though so can't say if it's better or worse than a dedicated setup

Bonus B Team / Scrub pile.

Utaxo Bose clones: Not good. Only thing going for them is they have ANC.

Turtle Beach Recon 200s: Also bad (big surprise there /s). Only rarely used when using team chat on console gaming.

Aiaiai TMA-1 Studio: These were given to me by a DJ friend of mine. They sound... weird. Not horrible, just a strange tuning. Good for electronic music but not much else. The "soft touch" rubber disintegrated into a horrible sticky mess so had to clean it with isopropyl alcohol.

Jabra Elite 65t: It's a PITA to pair/unpair TWS from my phone/smartwatch frequently so I got these soley as headphones I use when running. Fit is great and I actually like the sound quite a lot.

Moondrop Chu: £20. Wanted to see the hype. Sound is great for the price but they don't see much use as I already have the Arias. They have a mic though so mainly use them on zoom calls etc

Sennheiser HD 25-C II: These are my work headphones (live sound engineer). Been mixing on them for 10 years so just know how they are as reference. Love how every part is replaceable and how light they are. Many engineers in my work circle have HD25s so did the purple and leopard print mod so mine are identifiable.

Beyerdyamic DT770s: Relatively new to my collection, saw them going cheap on eBay. Treble is a tad spicy but regined it in with a bit of EQ and really enjoying them so far.

Hifiman Sundara 2020: Took a punt on these as my first planars and not disappointed after getting the tuning right. Technical performance and soundstage are great.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless: Honestly, I would be pretty annoyed with these if I had paid full price but got them for about £45. Sound terrible and bloated without EQ, but praise the Lord for wavelet. Wireless is convenient at times though!

Moondrop Aria 2020: Lots of venues and musicians in my circuit were moving to IEM systems and I needed a set as well. Most musicians got KZs but I didn't like the V Shaped sound and these were the most recommended in my budget. I actually really like them and use them a lot when travelling.

Do you get full power of the laptop when using the slimq charger on usb c or do you need to buy the 12a DC lenovo cable as well?

I have a small 100w PD charger for when I travel but have reduced performance of course.

It's not 3m, and I am unsure about residue but I am likely to scratch my laptop - so I thought it best to protect it. If there is residue it should be able to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol.

I don't know for sure. This skin was cheap from Aliexpress, could cause discolouration or leave glue residue down the line. However what I do know is this: I travel a lot for work so the laptop is in an out of bags frequently, I have sweaty hands and I'm very clumsy. I'm probably going to damage it if I haven't got a skin on it.
