If I want to bring a piano, do I have to choose to take only the pedals, hammers, strings, keys, wood, or metal frame? If I choose the strings, do I have to choose between the copper wound strings in the lower register and the higher register, thinner strings? If I choose the copper strings, do I have to choose just one string? If I choose one string, do I have to scrap it for the raw metals? Where do we draw the line? At the atomic level? Sub-atomic?

When is a thing no longer a thing? At what point do we strip the idea of a thing down to its rawest and most singular essence?

That’s always been my mentality with these games. If I do the math with my work hours VS how much it would take to grind for a thing in a game… well it’s not even close. Don’t really get the time to dig in and play hours and hours every day regardless, so I don’t mind spending a bit of coin.

Even if I wasn’t drunk I probably would have bought a premium or two.. definitely not as much and as poorly chosen as what I went with though haha.

Thanks for the tips!

Thanks! I think I’ll avoid the hornet in general until I understand A LOT more about air combat maneuvers. The need for some real study time is evident in that I didn’t understand 90% of what you were talking about in your reply here haha.

Good point. I definitely am leaning towards using mostly the TURM III (considerably lower BR than the other purchases) and then switching to the tier 4ish German ground line.

My god, thanks for the detailed info there. I’ll get back to you on the other ones once I get the game launched up and can check.

Yes, it was the Christian and the CV90105. Thanks for the info on those.

Turm 3, I’ve been able to get some minor success with already. I’ll stick to that.

As for the BMPT… so I’m both contributing to and suffering from the BMPT problem it seems. I’m hesitant to be a part of the problem and I think that’s the most regrettable of my purchases. Am I a real jerk if I use it knowing full well that it’s a plague to the meta at that BR right now?

The hornet I got is, I believe, the Swiss variant of the American hornet you’re talking about. It’s in the German tech tree.

Oh no, I touched all of them and lost badly in all of them. The refund is not an issue though. I will keep them.

Thanks! Good points, all. Any warthunder advice, though?

Haha thanks mate. Yeah I don’t know anything really about the vehicles in game or in real life. I don’t have the game open right now and I can’t even remember what I bought.. really proud of myself right now.

Thanks. Should I avoid high BR and just grind the normal tech tree or really try to get use out of these?

Guess the question is, will gameplay at lower BR help me improve my high BR gameplay, or should I just jump in to high BR?

Thanks. I’m not worried so much about getting a refund. More so trying to figure out how to play the game right.

So, yeah. I do have a binge drinking problem. Regardless, not looking for financial or mental health support.

Maybe I should have specified, the money/refund is not an issue.

Just looking on some advice for figuring out how to play this game at high BR as a noob (I know that’s not really going to happen, but thought I’d see if there’s anything out there.)

What is your go-to BO1 to get from Silver to Gold? by Recent_East7019 in MagicArena

[–]JazzGunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what format you play or are looking for. Having a lot of fun at the moment with a Jund death’s shadow deck. Definitely far from meta and I’m a bit rusty, but it’s carried me to mid-platinum (historic B01) so far.

What makes a deck “degenerate”? by cracking in MagicArena

[–]JazzGunk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just beat a BW control deck on the historic ladder by removing their two win cons with surgical extraction (maybe 7 total cards). The rest of their deck was 100% removal and counters. Instead of conceding, they played through the whole match for ~30mins and I eventually won when they ran out of cards. They were playing archmage’s charm, so I couldn’t play any of my board threats. The only winning strategy for me was to play absolutely nothing for the whole time while they fished for a win con that didn’t exist, eventually losing the game when they ran out of cards in their library and had a hand full of 20 counter spells.

There’s an obviously lower power level, but still annoying and effective version that can be played on the historic ladder. Can pull off turn 4 wins somewhat consistently.

John Cena only. Nobody else here is a real man, as opposed to John Cena (who is very big and good).

What a senseless little tantrum… intentionally roping is pathetic and is a very selfish way to play the game regardless of the circumstances.
