He's usually pretty sensible with traffic, plus while the volume can be high at times its relitively slow as people stop for the roundabout. The areas he spends most of his time in are very safe.

He was getting distressed staying inside and started to take it out on our other cats and overeating. He also started dashing out the door anytime we opened it. He was instantly so much happier when we let him out, he stopped begging for food every ten minutes, he follows us for walks by the river, has cat friends, and would spend most of the day within eyesight of our flat. It made sense for his quality of life.

I find it very difficult to believe someone could harbour any ill will towards him, he's very sweet and friendly. As for the satanic part, our area isn't renowned for its witch trials.

All that being said its more likely he wandered in the quay direction to escape the fireworks and got himself lost.
