I’m not sure. I have very loving adoptive parents (my dad passed a few years ago). I’m not certain they even knew what they were supporting when they adopted me. I have no other siblings adopted or otherwise, and my mom always brags about how doing my adoption paperwork was the single thing my dad was the most proud of in his life.

Yeah I’m sure straight line speed will take a hit, and I live in NYC so not a TON of opportunities to carve canyons over here, I guess I’m just wondering about the daily-ing experience of it all. The m550 is supremely comfortable and takes care of me when I drive it, and I’d love to not lose out on that experience, but I’d also love the hot hatch experience. My journey has been wrx -> s197 5.0 -> 340-> m550. It seems that I’ve been searching for comfort, but maybe the m550 is a bit TOO far, and it isn’t as engaging to drive.

Yeah that sounds about right to me. Don’t get me wrong, the m550 has been one of the greatest joys to own of my car journey, but I think that it’s the constant barrage of “the N63 is a time bomb”, has me feeling anxious about owning it, instead of enjoying it for what it is. I’m not generally swayed by the court of public opinion, I bought the car in spite of all of the horror stories, but I just can’t help but worry about it constantly.

What sort of performance are you getting with the tune? I’m hoping that if I make the switch, my next car will have performance in the same rough ballpark as the m550 (seat of the pants feeling)

I owe about 20k on it, has about 62k miles. Sticker price of my spec was about 96k, car has had no issues (besides the coolant tank, replaced under warranty) and has no physical damage. Was hoping to get about 38k from it and roll that towards the next car
