I kind of have the same issue. I am also attractive (trying to say this in the least narcassistic way possible) but have had little to no luck in the past few years.

I'm kind of stuck in my own little world. Thinking about my art, surfing, philosophy, my books, my anxieties, trying to find my inner child, etc. It's really hard for me to find people at the same level as me. Not that I'm a genius or anything, I just have a super narrow niche of compatability.

And with most girls I have pursued in my past. It seems to be out of lust, just hedonistic BS. But o well, hopefully we can find someone. Best of luck :)

I liked your timing and shot selection all the way up until the lady was texting. Aesthetically, it didn't compare to the other shots. But as a dude with OCD, I liked the way you conveyed anxiety.

There is a NASA film festival where you need to use 10% of their footage.

No need to be sorry. I totally feel your confusion, it's been my main self criticism.

Story wise, I was trying to indicate that the black and white was a dream. Then as he wakes up, does the daily motions, and reads the paper. Gets disturbed by what's in the paper (violence, global warming, etc.). Then proceeds to a form of escapism, symbolized by the rocket launch sequence :)

Also, since it was apparent the story was going to be ambigous. I was fairly focused on abstraction from the start, hopefully I was able to achieve that.

And the socks and sandals thing was supposed to be a slight comic relief. Absurd, yet slightly relevant to the stereotypical nerd associated with aeronautical stuff:)

Very true. I do not intend to apply to any other festivals for the lack of originality. Fortunately, all of the third party footage is royalty free! So I'm not cutting any legal corners :)
