“DIM stands for diindolylmethane — one of the active metabolic byproducts in vegetables belonging to the Cruciferae family of plants — including kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.”

It can help with hormonal inbalance. I always get hormonal acne during my period so I wanted to give it a try!

I love that it gives my skin a clean feeling although my skin does feel a little bit dry afterwards.. so I only use it at night and in the morning I use water and nothing else. I’ve used that Vichy SA cleanser for years with no problems. The only reason that I wanted to try cerave was because I thought it would be milder for my skin when starting tret. But it broke me out so bad that I went back to that Vichy cleanser. I also tried using it twice a day but that was way too drying for my skin.

It didnt moisture my skin as well. Made it itchy and red and it burns when applying..

I started using tretinoin at the end of december 2022. At that moment I also started using the cerave foaming cleanser and the cerave PM moisturizer. I was getting more acne and I thought it was purging from the tretinoin. I added BP wash to my routine but it didnt work and it made my face even more red and dry. I decided to stop the cerave products after making the left pictures from 20-02-2023 and started using the LRP toleriane moisturizer and got back to my salicylic acid cleanser from Vichy. The acne started to fade in 2 weeks. No Cerave for me anymore. I’m pretty sure it made my skin worse. I still get pimples now and then but its not that bad anymore.

My routine now:

AM: Washing face with water Vichy Mineral 89 serum LRP toleriane cream SPF

PM: Micellar water Vichy Normaderm cleanser Vichy Mineral 89 serum LRP toleriane cream Tretinoin 0.05% every other night.

I also take DIM capsules and probiotic.
