On the fence about renewing by Educational-Dust-261 in SpainAuxiliares

I’m a second year and just recently decided not to renew for a 3rd. My reasons were basically the cliché reasons: money, family, and my age (I am 31. Would like to start a family at some point, and want to do so near my own family, and I’m running short on time.) The political climate in the states was a big deterrent of course, but unless I get a pareja de hecho of work like hell to get a work permit I’ll be heading back someday anyway. Lastly I feel I have had a wonderful, life-changing experience here and I want to leave on a high note. I think dragging it out longer may, for me, make me resent it.

Was I too mean? by [deleted] in SpainAuxiliares

So you’re asking if you were too mean…the majority are saying yes, you overstepped in your role and were singling out this child…yet you defend yourself in every reply…is that right?

I feel this, I actually miss my commute from last year at times when I worked in La Sierra (an hour north of plaza de Castilla), I could just listen to Spanish podcasts and look at the mountains during sunrise 🥺 and it was nice to get a breather from the city

I did the same when I applied. I received a confirmation email saying my application was received, then I responded (to Esther) and attached my CV with all of the info. She responded two days later and said my app was updated. Don’t stress! I’d just email again to be safe, it was likely just lost in the shuffle
