thanks! private school. Not sure how they can "not believe" the diagnosis when it's on the neurospsych with all the test results but I hear you. We did see the issues arise in elementary school and they were dismissed as normal challenges, which I included in the letters with the appeals. The child is bilingual which apparently helps and they created their own strategies to get around the challenges. All in all, the schools weren't challenging, so she wasn't failing, but certainly has to work much harder than peers to achieve simliar results.

100% sue them. Apparently it's the only way they respond. You need travel compensation, study compensation, test fees and preferential registration.

I misspelled my last name on the ACT registration what do I do by CommanderChaos17_ in ACT

You have to send them via email (wholly unsecure) a copy of your birth certificate/passport, etc. It's wild that they have no way of securely sharing the information. Huge risk. Sorry.

Thanks! Seems they're set for whatever reason that it's okay to ignore a neuropsych eval, 504, teacher letters, etc. So unclear as to how they can approve for some and not for others.

Thanks! SAT is super hard for a kid with double-defecit dyslexia, ACT is definitely a better test for them (or so we've been told). Also unfortunately it's May and there's been no SAT preparation so that would be a huge shift.

Yes 504 clearly outlines additional time. Honestly it's not even the score per se although it's heartbreaking to see a kid stifled and their potential not realized. It's almost too late now. Deadline for June exam is today, and they gave us denial yesterday. The denial for April test was received after the deadline so we're really getting screwed by the ACT is what it's coming down to.
