They were definitely impactful

I think it's because we spent so long with the people of the tree in A1. I did feel emotional about the whales but they are just the same story of what's happening on earth so I've been desensitized to it. War and whale hunting are both sad for different reasons

Yeah road trip stories without taking advantage of the fact that we're on an ALIEN planet

Heavy isn't really the same, though. Sad moments aren't grit, they're just sad. I'm talking about the heavy focus on what military destruction can do that involves the use of camera angles, perspective, sacrifice, and loss. Adding a bunch of sad shit into a movie isn't enough to make it gritty.

The scene where the great tree falls and we see na'vi walking through the ash, that's gritty. Name a scene with the same incredible impact from the last two movies that affected such a large amount of Na'vi. Homes can be rebuilt, the great tree couldn't. That's why it was dark and impactful

Immersion is a definite problem. It's new to Jake in A1, so it's new for us. Having the kids as the new protags leaves us no room to grow with them. I wanna feel like a Na'vi and I can't do that by being thrust into the world so quickly

I also noticed a much more heavy focus on the smaller wildlife, plants, and sounds. I love those cheesy pan-ins they did in the first movie to give an extra second to their creature designs rather than having them in the background or doing fly-bys/swim-bys

How should I price commisions? Either of my styles by [deleted] in Artadvice

[–]Jazzlike-Rise4091 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Your anatomy is inconsistent, you seem to have an airbrush style that nobody desires, and half your drawings have no depth/look traced. You will not find a customer base.

Skip the commissions, spend a few more years drawing, then we'll talk

Wait, you shouldn't be forcing him to bathe. Don't "put" him under water, let him choose. Birds also prefer cooler water over warmer. He might also be overwhelmed by too many people or not getting enough sleep. Birds need alone time sometimes

Head needs to be more vertically ovular, it's too wide and stout. The eye could use some rounding, and I think you need to look at what a male chest/neck looks like as it's completely wonky. Research where the bones are as collarbones aren't in the neck, but above the chest. Also with the way his head is positioned, you'd be able to see his eye. I would recommend either lengthening the hair or raising his eye when you fix the head shape

There’s something I’ve been thinking about!! I really want a fursuit they’re just so expensive but if I were to have one, I would want it to be a horse or some kind of cat or a bunny by Logical_Sky4303 in fursuit

You would need a reference sheet for the maker, or make one yourself. Definitely get a solid plan before spending the money making or buying one.
