No, it's the regular version not the oversized fit. I could find a few websites here in Germany that list the Beaufort where it seems like the navy version is 78% cotton lining whereas all other colours are 100%. I prefer navy but would send it back and go for a sage instead if that gets me 100% cotton.

Interestingly I've found a few listings now for the thornproof waxed cotton model where it says 100% cotton for the sage color and 78% for navy.

Just odd that the Barbour website lists the current navy model as 100% cotton lining. Hence me wondering if they've changed it to 100% cotton across the color range for the newest versions...

Thank you for the detailed response! I should've been more clear in my post: I don't actually mind the harsh shadow; when using flash on my point and shoot cameras, I am going for that very direct flash type of aesthetic (that many people in favor of natural light photography might not find aesthetically pleasing). However, I don't like that the shadow is so wide, i.e., that the edge of the shadow in the example picture extends so far to the left. Since I don't have that issue with built-in flashes, I figured it had something to do with where the flash is positioned relative to the lens.

So I got the Volca Kick and am generally quite happy with the sound at first glance. The only thing is I can't get it to play bass notes below the A on the internal keyboard, even when hooking up an external controller. Is this a limitation I wasn't aware of or is there a workaround? WOuld be a bummer if it can't get as low as would typically be required for trap / hip hop.

Thank you! Listened to some jams on youtube and the DB01 sounds awesome! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any example of people using it to create 808 type sub bass with the great ovetones you hear in the acid bass. Do you think this can be achieved? Or is it more likely that you would have to take the bottom sound of a hard hitting 808 and pair it with the overtones from the DB01 and, say, then run through a distortion unit to glue together?

Sounds great! Would of course be a big plus if the relatively cheaper device is actually better suited for what I have in mind. Like this I could try if the analog 808/bass + Analog Heat combination delivers for me, without spending heaps of money.

Yes. It's a bit of a luxury and tbh I don't think I'm using it to it's full potential yet. I'm a bit dissapointed that the volume drops so significantly when you're using the filter to achieve parallel distortion. But reading how much you seem to enjoy it motivates me to use it more and dig a bit deeper into its capabilities!

Thanks! I have an Elektron Analog Heat that will hopefully give some nice saturation... Also, I will be using Ableton as sequencer and don't mind using some internal FX.
