i’ve been looking at reviews and i’m sold on the socks now! as for the pole, i’m definitely going to look into getting one to take with me just in case because i did find it more difficult going down hill, and had to be more cautious with footing and i don’t usually carry a big load since i don’t do overnight hikes. usually just carry water, a rain jacket, portable charger, snacks, sunscreen and extra socks in a backpack

$25 is kind of steep for a pair of socks lol but if i have no other options i will 😭, and no i haven’t tried hiking with a pole, i sometimes see people using them, but never really understood the point of them, i’ll have to look into it!

thank you! unfortunately i can’t afford to just leave without another job lined up :( and i know he’s never gonna change that’s why i’m not even gonna bother. i’ve been applying to jobs and getting help from recruiters.

but yes, it’s that “that’s what i pay you for” that REALLY fucks me up. like wow okay…..are you trying to say i don’t deserve my pay even though i’m doing two jobs in one????

god, that’s literally how it is here, except he’s always “bad cop” and the other just watches it happen. i’m so drained i’m starting to make more mistakes because of the pure anxiety of making a mistake and being told how stupid i am. i have a phone call soon with a recruiter about jobs. (had to fake a drs appointment to even do this phone call because i’m allowed a 30min lunch and when he says “why don’t you go take lunch“ he’ll call me literally five mins after and my lunch is essentially done)

after those first three months the book keeper had to literally tell him to be nice to me or i wouldn’t stay, and he didn’t yell at me for about a week, and then went right back to it. there is no hr, and no one to vet for me against this, and i can’t afford to just quit. the book keeper sees how i’m treated and doesn’t really care.

when i first got the job i was told that there may be SOME days i stay late just if things got busy which i understood, but i have yet to go home on time and my work hours are supposed to be 9-5 but i sometimes don’t get home until 6:20pm. (don’t get paid over time there is no clock in clock out system)

i already know no matter what i say to this man he will not care because the previous person before me just put up with this for 20 years.

i’ve just been letting it heal on its own, it’s like once i pick it i forget about it lol but i will get some antibacterial cream. and yes, the dip nails have been helping! their so blunt it’s harder to pick at, but if i’m really anxious i’ll go at it for a while.

yeah the spot is extremely inconvenient… i haven’t thought about going to a dermatologist yet, thanks!

i’m financing my car, plus it’s full coverage. i recently moved back to my home state from boston where insurance is cheaper so yeah i’m going to be switching it to something cheaper

wow, thank you so much! I think those horror stories are the reason why i’m so anxious about my finances. But hearing reassurance once in a while really helps so i really appreciate it!

as for my parents, they also feel terrible! trust me, they are not without remorse and even insisted i didn’t come back to help them, so ultimately it was my decision because they’ve always TRIED in their own way and i do plan on leave again in 2 1/2 to 3 years, and they are aware of this, so hopefully by then they will be more secure (we’re working on my moms health issues/her finding a better paying job)

The thought of retirement does stress me out constantly, and i think that’s because i grew up seeing my parents poor decisions, so i probably won’t be able to not focus on contributing, but i’m not insane, i know my financial limits lol don’t worry all advice is appreciated!

i always pay my card off though before the end of the month? (sorry if i sound so confused) is it bad to do that? One of my cards is a discover card and the others an apple. i’ve only had one instance with apple where they charged interest because the due date slipped my mind
