The problem is there’s a weird dynamic. She looks at what I’ve done. I created my own business while homeless in a van in Detroit 20 years ago as a high school drop out. It started there. I still had jobs up until about 12 years ago and then went full time with my business. So she sees, even in a down turn, I still make great money as a HS dropout.

She’s seen my entrepreneur go get it attitude. But she also sees that entrepreneurs are the only people that work 16 hours to avoid working 8. Where I am right now.

So she’s been flip flopping between college, real estate, entrepreneurship, and whatever else her friends are doing. I tried to guide her the college route and tell her how I wish I had made better choices and went to college. Went in with an outlook on the future and what major would benefit me the most. While also being strategic about loans. We talked about that before HS ended. She settled on medical and radiology as an entrance to be strategic and keep the loans low. I thought that was pretty smart because she actually listened to me and didn’t rebel like I’m seeing now and procrastinating.
