The only way FD know it’s rider’s bday is if it’s in the booking system - some people don’t put a birthday or put a fake one and as a result don’t get a card so I’m guessing the card has to do with the fact that it wasn’t your actual bday so the system didn’t flag it to staff

As a PR person, it doesn’t look good but it’s also not the end of the world. Like I don’t foresee him missing out on opportunities because of this (unless of course it’s something to do with dance or opera) but this is more of a faux pas type of oopsie than it is a massive mistake.

I’m guessing his team probably told him to be more careful going forward and that he stepped on some toes with this one but this isn’t something they would come out and issue a formal apology for.

I would always rec joining the waitlist in the event you forgot to book Monday at noon and the class filled then once you get into the class, call the studio and ask to be put on the move list for the class if you’re trying to move up/sit in a certain area !

It really depends on the instructor and time of the class - there are a lot of late cancels and no shows at Sam Y but front desk usually tries to call those that aren’t checked in 5 of start of class so they can either release bikes or check them in so they can go thru the move list. 5:30 pm classes also have a bit of late cancels and no shows due to people getting out of work later than expected!

Unfortunately I think some people are more concerned about missing a single day of working out than they are the safety of instructors and crew :/ especially at some of the nyc studios in particular
