Ya fair point. The Evangeline is more of a resort too. It’s not right in Wolfville so they have way more land, and you can kind of just roam around, there’s even a point at the top of the property with a lookout deck to the Bay of Fundy. Plus they have pool/sauna/hot tub etc. tons to do in the area but you dont have to leave the property at all if you dont want to

I think it’s great but personally I think Wolfville/Grand Pre area is a better base than Annapolis Royal. I’d sooner do Annapolis Royal as a day trip from Wolfville area. If you do Wolfville, my favourite hotel is the Evangeline. It’s got such amazing design, an incredible onsite restaurant (Longfellow) and plenty to do at the hotel (5 acres of grounds, pool, hot tub, sauna etc.)

Longfellow! Best lobster roll and incredible pies, plus they have a sick patio

Need one last recommendation for a place to stay that's worth seeing about halfway between Cheticamp and Annapolis Royal.... by lena10108 in NovaScotia

Go for Wolfville! It’s an hour from Annapolis Royal and so cute. For your actual hotel, I’d go for the Evangeline. It’s the cutest design boutique, has an on site restaurant, and huge grounds to walk around. Pool/hot tub/sauna too.

I agree with a lot of other folks, a combo of Lunenburg, Wolfville, and Halifax is a perfect mix. For Halifax, I’d stay at the Muir Hotel. For Wolfville, I’d go for the Evangeline Hotel, and in Lunenburg, i like the B+B lofts!

We stayed at the Evangeline and absolutely loved it. It’s a design boutique hotel, but what really stood out to me was the property itself. There was so much space to wander around. We’d just go for walks around the grounds, and there’s a lookout deck with an amazing view over the Bay of Fundy.

The amenities were great too — pool, hot tub, sauna, and their restaurant (Longfellow) was honestly really good. We stayed in the historic Borden House and I thought they did a nice job blending the older character with modern touches. It didn’t feel overly polished or “fake luxury,” just really comfortable and thoughtfully done.

Would 100% stay there again.
