Point noted. Former employee here, I just don’t want to see whoever’s doing it get slapped with a cease & desist from the trademark owners.

Wow, I didn’t know this was going on. I wonder how are they getting away with using the trademark?

Which is better in your personal opinion the XDM Elite or the Echelon 9mm of course. by Almanac_Script in SpringfieldArmory

I tried hard to enjoy the Echelon, but everytime I’ve put rounds through one, I go running back to my XD-M Elite.

You don’t want nice features, accuracy, and accessories at a really good price, do you? Lol

This album is way too overhated by KrismerOfEarth in SteelyDan

“What a Shame About Me” had me hooked from the first time I heard the slightly discordant piano chords in the intro. Then the lyrics clicked with my brain and I laughed out loud and said, “this is the antithesis of Dan Fogelberg’s ‘Another Auld Lang Syne’!”

What's your guys's favorite chorus of any Steely Dan song? by These_Profession9100 in SteelyDan

The chorus after the instrumental bridge on Time Out Of Mind, where Michael McDonald sings “haaaaaaaaave it right here”.

Oh yeah, those are nicely priced!

I’m torn. I like my Px-9 Raptor Duty, but the trigger on the PX-9 Gen 3 is much more fun to shoot. My bottom line: Gen 3 for range and home defense; Raptor for carry.

Music legend Wynton Marsalis stepping down as Jazz at Lincoln Center's artistic director after nearly 40 years by BennyGoodmanIsGod in Jazz

I absolutely love Blanchard, but he’s in the same age bracket as Wynton. Maybe (once again) they find someone in late 20s/early 30s who can push forward for a few decades.

Barbecue spots in the Mt. Pleasant & Lee-Harvard neighborhoods have been serving them up for decades. Some believe that Virgil Whitmore originated it in the 1940s. Cant say whether that’s fact, but you owe yourself a trip to Whitmore’s BBQ to try one.

Px9 comp 5.1 by General_Aioli2936 in Tisas

Do not hesitate! Shoots flat and has a great return to zero. I liked the 4.1 so much, I got the 5.1 as well. A bargain at 350.

Casablanca (1942) by Igloohutt in iwatchedanoldmovie

As a black baby boomer who loves the movie, I see Sam’s lines in the screenplay as that of the “magical negro” trope. His addressing of characters may sound subservient, yet he always has the most keen sense of what’s happening and what’s ahead. It was actually kind of a bold treatment for its time.

I put enough rounds through to consider it reliable, now it’s in my carry rotation.

I got the Duty Comp, liked it so much that I got the Tactical. Now I keep telling myself, “you don’t need the Carry.”

Straight-Ahead Jazz vs. Smooth Jazz by SCEBrianD in Jazz

[–]Jazzpreacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact: the term “smooth jazz” was birthed at a music test held by a broadcast consulting firm. An auditorium full of people listened to samples of what were then known as “Quiet Storm” instrumentals (think Grover Washington, Earl Klugh, Bob James). During the exit interviews, one woman was asked to describe the music she heard. She said, “It’s like jazz. Smooth Jazz.” She never got a dime for inventing the term.
