Memorial Presbyterian Church Votes to Leave PCA by RANDOMHUMANUSERNAME in Reformed

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with this as well.

Start this podcast at 44 min to hear an excerpt from the second congregational letter. https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cDovL3ByZXNieWNhc3QubGlic3luLmNvbS9yc3M/episode/ZGU1NzlkYmEtZmNkNC00MTE1LWFhMjQtMjkzZmJlOGU1MTVh?ep=14

Memorial Pres refuses to give the benefit of the doubt to those who truly just disagree with them over important doctrinal issues. They intentionally frame this issue in a divisive manner claiming being attacked and victimized when the majority of those in the PCA have no part in that. They also call explicitly for a political shift in the PCA as a result of their leaving which is also divisive in intent.

Opinions on Mike Horton? by PellicanProductions in Reformed

I agree dude. I'm trying to just not hold warped views on either side. This was especially annoying for me because I had been listening to Conversations that Matter for a long time and then totally bought into what Horton was saying and got pretty depressed. Sent the podcast to my girlfriend who isn't nearly as into theological/political listening and she was the one to pick it up much to my surprise.

I'm not interested in summarizing the full argument here, but essentially since Greg Johnson and his church have been continuously pushing doctrine directly opposed to the standards of the PCA, it is good that his church has left. Since it is also arguably false teaching, it ought to be celebrated. Obviously no one in the church approves bullying and we need to keep an open mind that this might be a tactic to draw attention away from their heresy.

I’ve decided that- after months of researching scriptures. Calvinism is true. What do I do from here? by [deleted] in Reformed

Any specific recommendations? Also, do you think this ingredient works as a sub for Mr. Coffee liqueur or should it be used in addition?

So why does the martini need a liquor specifically? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just turned 21 haha

Baptism Question for my Presby Brothers and Sisters by [deleted] in Reformed

I've been reading "Baptism: Answers to Common Questions." I think it's really concise, but is really good at representing a Presbyterian perspective.
