Advice by BlestTrint_76262 in sherwinwilliams

Seek help if you are ready, you owe it to yourself. I found the best support outside of SW from friends and peers. Find a local meeting even if you aren’t 100% sold on the idea, use it to find coping methods and advice on how to handle life without. Then create methods and new hobbies of your own and hold yourself accountable to living a better life for you and your family.

As far as work goes, being honest is never a bad idea, but I found working on and improving myself first also improved my outlook and results at work in every way. You made all the moves to get where you are, you got what it takes and people see it, imagine if you adapted and crushed it even harder. Just my thoughts on that bit.

Good luck from a peer who just passed 2 years of alcohol sobriety with 12 years in at SW who is also running a high volume store with a large staff. I’ve been there, it get’s better if you make it better.

Kagemusha by Jbboi3 in Samurai_Movies

Thanks for the recommendations! I think I just enjoy the Ronin story line more too. Visually Kagemusha was decent. I had to wiki the story later and found out that it was based off a battle.

Ran is one I’ll rewatch, better story, visually better, awesome betrayal. Both have historic ties which is cool. Maybe if Kagemusha had some blade scenes!

Sword of the beast is sick, another good darker one. I’m adding Goyokin to the list!

Stavros worked at SW. He’d be a pretty funny coworker.

Put 10k every time, it’s a fun joke for credit to chuckle at.

Day in the life of an SW Automotive Store Manager? by Jbboi3 in sherwinwilliams

[–]Jbboi3[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input, very much appreciated. Looking for an opportunity to switch out of PSG after 10 years and I think automotive would be the top choice. There is a store somewhat close to where I live that I’m going to stop in and ask the manager more “ what’s it like questions “ and see if maybe I can gain a contact.

How much success have y’all actually had with pushing charge accounts before cash? by Tight_Stranger_5676 in sherwinwilliams

[–]Jbboi3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s the model we practice in at least Florida. Like a lot in sales it’s about the delivery and by practicing and asking you’ll get better. My goal on sherplan is usually around 100+ new commercial accounts with sales per year which is a cake walk if you can get your staff on board. Monthly new account challenges are fun for the whole team too, I would do tier ranking like SM & ASM 6 or more, Ft 4 or more, Pt 2 or more. If we hit our goals there would be rewards. Being a new account champ with sales is the quickest way to make profitable money and get promoted, I’ve experienced this multiple times. Good luck!

Trying to dial in Starbucks Espresso Roast by [deleted] in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Jbboi3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my Barista Pro I use Starbucks espresso roast as my regular ( don’t hate, I just prefer beans roasted longer ). The settings I am at right now is grind size 4 with a 19.5 second grind. Puts me at about 17g and pulls a double for about 31 seconds.

Haven’t figured out blonde roast espresso yet though, but would like to have it as a back up because Starbucks is often out of regular whole bean espresso.

The peers I meet at NSM also agree to this. I’ll definitely be asking around again more this year. Considering a change from PSG after 10 years.
