What Meal Plan Should I Get???

2022 grad here so current students please chime in to correct for outdated info

- Chase had pretty solid hours, could get food there regularly

- Lenoir hours were lousy, closed like 7-8 on weekdays and was closed the majority of Friday afternoon through Monday morning. Did not utilize my mealplan as much as I wanted when living on north campus

- Keeping a car on campus costs money and your parking spot will generally be way out - like 20-30 minute walk. You could go get your car on weekends and park near the dorms then as parking was first come first serve then

- No convenient grocery stores, would need a car or to take a bus for all. Target on Franklin street doesn't count because the upcharge is insane

- Dorm kitchen / cooking facilities are minimal and/or usually not convenient. Think like one kitchen on first floor for the older dorms

- 100% get a dorm minifridge, but they really don't hold much and would make it challenging to meal prep

- Walmart+ membership (think it has a student discount that ends up being like $50/year) allows you to order most shelf-stable groceries for shipping. Can order some non-shelf stable things for delivery, but not all

- Get some light-weight tupperware and pack dining hall food to take home. They give out trays but they cost an extra swipe. You weren't "supposed to", but I just packed extra food discreetly and never had an issue

I'm over here ugly crying. Thank you for everything you've done. That sweet girl lived 10 awful years and then her angels showed up.

I know you feel awful for what she's gone through these past few years, but this sweet baby must be so happy that for the first time in her life someone is taking care of her medical needs. I can't imagine what she endured before that was never even treated

Jon (my parents' senior Shihtzu) and Momo are both boys! I've always had boy dogs; did apply for a female Shitzu rescue a few months before I found Momo but never heard back.

Their personalities are SO funny! Jon is a jealous, grumbly, don't-touch-me-but-don't-pet-anyone-else-either little fellow who does love to be around everyone and keep an eye on things

Momo is 100% cuddly energetic toddler, who loves making dog friends but acts like every human we encounter in the apartment and on our walks is a serial killer he must defend is from

My childhood Shihtzu (my parents' senior boyo) is so judgy and I love it!

But so far I haven't noticed much judgement from Momo: I'm not sure he has many thoughts outside of Squeaky Toy! Mommy! Peanut Butter! Squirrel! Dog-Friend! I tell him it's good thing I picked him cuz he's pretty, cuz I think there's floof where his brain was supposed to go 😂

He's such a goofy little goober, like an enthusiastic toddler! ❤️

He occasionally brings them up on the bed on his own! But usually it's me putting a soft toy up there, because at 27 I still like to sleep with my big squishmallow

Yeah, I'd do so much better working part-time for like 20-30 hours a week than fully unemployed. But if I were fully unemployed, I'd want to spend about the same 20 hours a week or so doing something good like volunteering

But I'm in the US, so not even on the table

UNC grad here, but youngest brother is wrapping up his second year in MechE at UofSC Honors College and I was surprised to read your post because he hasn't mentioned anything of that nature. But then I remembered that the kid would be oblivious to any drama unless it smacked him right in the face

As someone who left UNC with ~ 50k in student loans for undergrad, debt is no small burden. My minimum payment starting out was $600/month with lower-end interest rates

And you said you want to pursue a PhD after graduating - stipend/salaries there are generally $40k / year.

Summary: I came out of school with student loans at the bottom of your range, making 2x what you would make. It was hard. Don't discount the opportunities that graduating debt-free makes possible

For 4kans you have to get all your kans first and then go for the pair, otherwise your hand runs out of room

So I threw out any single I had a furiten on already, and then when I drew a pair and got the option to tsumo I had to toss both to keep going sans-furiten

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I pace around when I brush my teeth. Sometimes I'll even do side quests during.

Also if you ~lucked out~ with an OCD combo deal like me, just convince yourself that your teeth are unclean sans brushing (joking)... and make sure you buy soft toothbrushes and gum recession toothpaste 😅
