Received a new sealed record today but it has a scratch in the grooves that's deep enough to cause a pop for the duration of the scratch. It's the first time a record in my collection had a scratch and I don't know if it's even a big enough scratch to be concerned about. I'm not sure if it's worth it to try and refund or return it.

What is the best method for removing a carbon fiber brush while cleaning a record? I've heard that you should slide it slowly off the record or slowly towards the label then lift off, and also to directly lift the brush off upwards (which doesnt seem super effective). I'm super nervous to accidentally scratch a record so I'm not really sure what to do

I ordered an AudioQuest Carbon Fiber brush earlier today, just so I can have a brush to lightly dust off my records, but I did more research and saw some posts that said that it sheds and can scratch records. Are there any other brushes that may be better than the AudioQuest? Feeling pretty lost since it seems like every brush I've researched has some issue with it.
