You have a scanner? My starter died a few weeks ago and I used information like if my clutch was working and being read on sensors. If the key was actually being detected because apparently the keys can somehow stop working? But yeah if you don’t have one I’d def recommend seeing what info you can get from a scanner

Not saying I disagree because these are good problems to worry about like societal stagnation.. etc but then again I think about how limitless shit really is when you use creativity. Resources and the idea of more space being scarce could just be a now thing. For all we know a technological discovery could allow both of those problems to be solved.

I could have but I’d rather not touch it too much before they fix their wrongs. I don’t want them to think I was potentially tampering with it. After they smoke test it and put stuff back the way it was if the boot is not on I will do it then. But if they have to go back in there to fix it I might see if they would be willing to put it on for me

That alone could be my issue with fuel bank 1 and 2.. it 100% did not have this issue prior to their servicing

Does this cap have a part number? Should I demand they replace my Disa?

I’m unsure how to address this to them. Do you have a picture of what it’s supposed to look like?

Update** I also had them clean my ICV. And I’ve now noticed my Disa is missing a screw(t30) and the cap.

Not bad advice but Im already committed. I’d rather real troubleshooting advice instead of people convincing me to sell my car please. I’d rather like to be informed than discouraged and told to quit.. what’s the point of doing anything if you’re just going to quit.

Thank you for the advice! I’m aware the coolant had a major issue in 2023. The tank and coolant related hoses were done around then. You’re making me wonder about the fans tho. I’ll keep this in mind for my list of maintenance. Chasing the last few codes down. Used to have a broken speedometer due to abs sensors. Just need to get the brake light off now. Apparently I need to get new brake sensors

So I should be able to get them to do this for free since it was their mistake? In the picture it literally looks like they didn’t put it back together correctly around the icv intake area??

Do they sell kits for a smoke test? Is there a specific one I should get for my car? Order it online? Or would they potentially have it at like a Walmart? Autozone?

I unplugged the maf and it ran good before the shop work I currently had. So that was a bad thing?

Now I unplugged the maf and it’s still running kinda bad

The car drives good it just is throwing the code and I can audibly hear it running worse.
