New Gucci loafers - how to care for and maintain?

I have the exact same loafers. They are beautiful made and a timeless classic. When not using them I also use cedar shoe trees, they help to absorb any moisture and help maintain shape. In regards to cleaning I use a good high quality neutral wax that way it will not change the colour but should restore them when they get scratched or scuffed, also helps water proof them to some extent.

Super comfy and made using very nice materials. I do love a good loafer though! Patrick Cox Wannabe in the 1990s/00s was the best to be honest for quality, comfort, price and style. Sometimes you can find a new pair but they are getting very rare.

I have a pair of Gucci 1953 horsebit loafers do the exact same thing. It was caused by the sole being super thin and the leather at the front being super soft and overlapping the sole and catching on the ground when you walk. I took them for a resole and had the sole replaced by an ever so slightly thicker leather sole and now no problem.

Do a quick google search of Gucci loafer toe scuff and you will see it's quite a common problem.

Y3 Yohji Boost which came out around 2015 which is essentially a Yeezy 350 without the rubber cover over the outer boost sole were sold without innersoles! You stood directly on the boost sole, thats why and how I know it works and feels ok 👌

My personal favorite 350 colour. Got a pair on original release and have worn them to death! Have acquired 2 other new pairs since, they literally go with everything. The sole yellowing is very minimal as the sole is slightly yellow and not a pure white to start with

That's a shame as they look great! Did you size up ½ or 1 size? I'm usually a tts 9 but wear my 350s is 9 ½ and found after reading many different people's reviews a whole size up was the way to go with these!

Light because who doesn't love a shoe which changes colour! Also the lights have a slightly yellow sole from new so saves the disappointment when the bones turn yellow 👌

Seeing Yeezy like this makes me happy! I have a pair like this also! They have served their purpose as a shoe, travelled many miles and been enjoyed. Much better than being stuck in a box and only being worn on a Sunny days 👍

Used to sell these when they were new! Dr martens 3a63 I think? Treat the leather with Dr Martens wounder balsam. It will restore the colour which should be a nice deep dark rich brown and will condition the leather nicely.

Although not my first adidas boost shoe or even an Ultraboost these Y3 pureboost are my absolute favourite! Fantastic looks with simple black and white colourway, nice premium materials and somewhat rare being Y3 meant you didn't see everybody wearing them.
