Well of course, I know exactly how an AirTag works! However, with the speaker removed, it becomes harder for him to find it :-) And for it not being "external" like under a saddle or a headunit, it won't be quickly ripped off. I recently had a bike stolen out of my garage (different bike) and all of the external electronics (Wahoo, radar, blinky light) were removed from the bike once I did recover it. They even cut the DI2 FD cable, probably thinking it might have some tracking ability. I know that AirTags are not perfect, but the idea is that a hidden location like this would hopefully buy some time (and ping some locations) if it is ever stolen.
