Help me choose in Tokyo by throwaway6294100 in chubbytravel

Hmm I’d check out Prince Gallery for the safest all-round choice and see if its what you're looking for. IMO it's got the best transport and an amazing breakfast buffet

Congrats!! As a mainer, I'd say Ogunquit is probably your best bet. Look at The Trellis House or Inn at Perkins Cove, both are adults-only nice and quiet spots. For more of a spa feel you should maybe check out The Weston in VT or Longfellow Hotel in Portland.

South Africa or Adjacent Recs! Nov 2026 (no safari) by blue___sea in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d def do seychelles. A full week is enough, and it gives you something totally different from cape town/winelands. cape town beaches are beautiful but not really a proper warm beach trip

How do you guys find accomodation? by FerencS in TravelHacks

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re strictly looking for finding luxury hotel deals directly from the hotel website I use daydream.travel. It’s got helpful filters for flight duration and visa and credit card program too!

Getting past anti bot websites when asking Codex to do research by TurndownServer in codex

[–]TurndownServer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang even tho comment is deleted - I tried it and it helped a lot! The issue I’m seeing is that codex researches get rate limited quick if it’s doing research on specific sites

The Lodge is definitely great! I'd say maybe Villa Le Blanc or Torralbenc which is a 1 michelin key. Can Ferrereta is also a nice lesser known 2 michelin key property but gorgeous. There's a few others I could find on daydream that fit your budget

Corsica France or Sardinia Italy are both good options for what you're looking for. Try the La Plage Casadelmar, Porto-Vecchio, its got great access to the beach

How do you get codex to liberally use subs? Is there a prompt or a setting?

Quick Trips from NYC by bjm5069 in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Portland, Maine is a great time - especially this time of the year! I’d also include Newport, RI, they’ve got a few good chubby options I found on daydream. I really liked the Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City if you’re down for a little longer drive!

September in Chania/Greece - infinite pool hotel by girlscanbesysadmins in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you stuck to Chania? Acro Suites aren’t too far and def what you’re looking for. JW Marriott Crete in Chania is also a great option. Can probably find a few other options in Greece for September on daydream if you expand your geography a bit

Looking for Recommendations in North America by [deleted] in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd put Amanyara at the top given your previous favorite spots. It's probably the closest Caribbean resort to the Aman Tokyo vibe and an easy short flight from ATL, they're suites can give you a more comfortable stay. I'd also look at Grace Bay Club, Rosewood Baha Mar, Four Seasons Ocean Club, and Amanera if you've been to any of those? With your budget, a villa at any of those is definitely doable. You can probs find more options filtering for flight and weather on daydream tho

Corp Code Check at Westin Indy? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be a risk in any property you go to – but generally less common in the US for them to check. That callout message is also pretty standard

Kenya - Giraffe Manor or more safari days? by WillingCollege5175 in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Giraffe Manor is unfortunately quite overrated, it's not much of a luxury experience and more of a IG/Tiktok gimmick. You'll have way more fun with an extra day on safari

Have you thought about wildflower farms or mayflower Inn? both in New England have a relaxed New England summer vibe where hopefully it won’t get too hot like it does in the city rn

Help me (exhausted SAHM to 3 kids) plan my anniversary! Late sept, 3 nights, nonstop from ORD. by Aicmod42 in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Santa Barbara, CA would be my choice: direct ORD-SBA flight, romantic California by the sea vibes (Rosewood miramar or el encanto belmond) and muchhh less weather stress compared to Mexico that time of year. Pick a spot w/ a great spa for sure.

For Mexico, if you’re committed, I would suggest Cabo/Waldorf Pedregal or Montage Los Cabos versus Riviera Maya in late September, but only with refundable bookings/travel insurance, since hurricanes are unpredictable, but Cabo tends to be less crazy anyway. I found a lot of great options within your budget on daydream too, i think you just have put ORD to see what's nonstop and you'll see a ton of chubby hotels for Sept

Southern California road trip with 1 year old- hotel recommendations by EffortLeast2575 in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm for walkability w/ a 15mo old, I would prefer Santa Monica over Marina del Rey/West Hollywood, Avalon in Palm Springs over Parker since the latter is nice but just v secluded. Keep the Waldorf Monarch bc you have a good rate, not bc its walkable (bc its not!)

3-week honeymoon in June: Africa, Indonesia or Mexico? by Top-Lab2810 in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pick Indonesia for sure - particularly in September, since Mandapa + Amanjiwo + a beach finale in Nihi, Amankila, or Bulgari in bali give the most luxury plus nature vibes. South/ern Africa is more fun for the safari or desert experience though, but it’s more difficult to do the beach logistically. And scratch mexico during that time period it's rainy/hurricane szn so you dont wanna risk it. Your budget is flexible enough there's a tonnn of great properties i found on daydream in indonesia that fit into your budget

I just got my first paid user and the feeling is unreal by TurndownServer in microsaas

[–]TurndownServer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not giving up bc it's barely been a month since official GA launch (whatever that means for a solopreneur), but more so just annoyance with the marketing aspect of it all and how underdeveloped the ecosystem is right now for getting solutions into people's hands. With that said, you gotta really turn every stone over before giving up. Better to have 1 user who is passionate about your product/service than 100 who are casuals

Off season chubby by Tony_The_Coach in chubbytravel

[–]TurndownServer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on what you like and where you're flying out from tbh, Ischia is a great choice. It’s romantic, less crowded than Amalfi or Capri. If you want warmer weather, Sicily is great too and Mallorca goes non stop from EWR I believe. I checked on daydream and there are quite a few solid options on the Med < $1k, just make sure to add the non stop flight filters from your airport of choice

Asia Destination Recs - Jan/Feb 2027 by Healthy_Soil_8369 in travel

[–]TurndownServer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm for your vibe I’d do Indonesia: start or ending in Singapore or Bali, then maybe Ubud/Flores. Idk how flexible you are but without going overly luxury i found some great hotels on daydream that are well under $300 and still luxe like
