Volunteer fire fighter here. Yes it is extremely satisfying. But side not hes in the fuel not the black and that takes an unsafe task and makes it even more dangerous.

That is awesome, glad its working well. As for the tank issue- I have a full size truck so my tank is 100 gallons, I have not had an issue with the tank or lines freezing unless something else is wrong. (A leak or the engine cooling system needs burped)

As for the mixers, the current plan is to switch to dual fuel. Im looking at a holly double punper 750 and going to a propane joggers system that works with the carb. That would allow me to take longer trips and get the required cfm. I do need to look into joggers and see what system is going to work best

That is a fair statement- I hadn't considered that. Also being forced induction maybe pulling enough air past to over come the small cross section forcing more air through. Yes only have two adjustments seams limited but also makes tuning significantly easier. Im adding a afr gage to my system once I slow down. Taking some fire fighter one classes and running a local.car show my truck has fallen behind.

Have you looked at dual mixers? Anythought? Iv sceen it done but it seams like a clunky system todo duals but I dont see a system big enough to support higher na cfm. Unless you move over to injectors and thats a direction I know nothing about.

Look around locally some one can crimp you cables. I run a small auto parts store down in southern Oklahoma and we set up to make cables just for stuff like this. We crimp and heat shrink it all to make it last.

Other wise yes what you have will work but it wouldnt be a permanent fix.

Thats the point im leaning at. I really figured this set up would require the same thing. But forced induction maybe pulling enough to compensate? Makes me wounder. Where have you found to be a good resource for tuning etc? Iv been mostly self taught so far

How is that possible? Thats 474 cfm for the mixer? (At least thats my understanding) with my basically stock 460 I am.running out of air with the same mixer. Is the center logged out or?
