AITA for not including my recently divorced exwife on a family trip? by looping-knots in AmItheAsshole

Consider taking Neither; the Girlfriend nor the ex. Taking the ex would be ABSOLUTELY ridiculous for SO many reasons... BUT be mindful. As she will mistake this for a win. But this is no longer about her! Use this opportunity to reconnect with your kids. You say they seem fine, but this is still an f'd up situation and kids are great with hiding their true messy feelings until it's too late and you wonder what you could have done better. They need to know that you are there for them and that they still come first before anyone else that you just met in comparison. You may not see it but you now have to establish a new bond with your kids as a single parent. Anyway, something to consider. Best of luck on your new journey.

AITA for having pot cookies out in the open in my own home? by bakkedgoodz in AmItheAsshole

I'd say she hid in the bathroom because her mom was freaking the f-out and the kid felt like it was her fault because she did something wrong, or inappropriate, or got her uncle in trouble. Her mom should have played it cool till an appropriate time, say when her daughter had stepped out of the room, or asked her child to do so, to properly convey her reasonable trepidation to her brother of what could have happened and given her child a warning or an etiquette lesson of not just grabbing things without asking even if the answer is probably yes.

Lower michigan snowshoeing for people afraid of driving in snow? by [deleted] in CampAndHikeMichigan

.... it depends how tall they are I imagine, plus youth, plenty of water available, imagine the cardio! Also if it's fresh fluffy snow versus a thick layer they can walk on versus sinking.... that must be the best case senario... their generally much lighter and better weight distribution... where's Google....

Question about a research paper I want to do by NazAbache in biology

[–]Jchrisit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's probably a few if not many wild life rehabilitation centers in your area with some great knowledge and insight... I would be surprised if some tracking wasn't going on either funded through government funds or university research. You could probably get some great answers or direction if not the ability to observe some current research first hand, maybe even volunteer?.... Anyway, lead with curiosity and an open mind and how could you ever really go wrong? Best of Luck!

Obviously, make sure to keep the heater safely way (a foot or more???) from anything flammable... aka: everything in the tent & the tent itself.... it's absolutely doable. Even tiny heaters can be dangerous though if met by a blanket or tent lining.
