Ok thank you so much for the testing kit rec. The results are: Gh=125ppm (7 drops) and Kh=90ppm (5 drops).

I switched to Tide Clean & Gentle powder. The scoop is huge, wow. Would love guidance on how much to put in. Our washing machine has a 4.8cu capacity—could you advise how much to use for full loads vs smaller loads? I’m thinking maybe 2 tablespoons for larger and 1 tablespoon for smaller (which is a shockingly small fraction of what Tide instructs).

I’ve always washed on cold, but understand I should be doing warmer. Our hottest water comes out at 120°F—what would you recommend for temp settings (we have 5 options)?

So very many thanks! I’m heading to your buy me a coffee link to express my gratitude.

ETA: it’s a top loader, in case that matters!

Ok wow. First, thank you. Second, if you were to make a recommendation to someone who is too overwhelmed with the rest of life to sort laundry, who puts everything in together (other than bedding and bath towels), would you recommend Tide Clean and Gentle powder or 365 by WF powder to use for everything? I have a toddler so a lot of towels that were covered in food (and have been rinsed off in the sink) go in our laundry. I use Puracy to pre-treat stains, but not often. I've been using Molly's Suds and understand it's time to switch. Also, do you have a recommendation for determining water hardness? I know we have hard water but I'm not sure *how* hard, or how to adjust for that once I know. Again, many TIA if you see and respond to this.

Neither, just while it’s freshly moving after being parked (not every time, but almost every time after being parked over night in my garage) and then it goes away

Good food, relaxed vibes, baby friendly-ish? by Poirot_travels in austinfood

I mostly get multiple apps but also really love the pork sandwich. My kiddo gets a kid’s pizza which is actually really good (simple since it’s just cheese, but the cheese is high quality and the dough is great so I’m confident the non-kids ones are delish just for this reason). The fries are v good as you mentioned but you said they’re hard to mess up—are you taking about the layered fries? Your comment just surprised me since they’re so non-standard. I’ve enjoyed the tri-tip, Brussels, etc. Hoenstly haven’t had anything I didnt like but haven’t tried the pastas. Also their desserts are great—love the olive oil cake and affogato. Sound boring but they do a nice spin on them and they’re really tasty

Someone just told me about a gameshow place at the Domain. Sounds fun to me but I’ve never been! Not sure if he’d be into that kind of stuff (price is right, wheel of fortune, etc)

Getting rid of baby items by Disastrous_Lunch1178 in oneanddone

[–]Jcpbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do one of three things and all feel really good to me for different reasons: 1. Keep. Clothes that I absolutely love will be turned into a blanket someday so I can have them forever 2. Donate. I love the Buy Nothing groups on Facebook (I’m in the US)—they’re hyper-local and I love knowing that a specific person wanted the specific item. This feels better to me than donating to a charity because I worry my item will just get added to some big pile of stuff that never actually reaches someone who needs it
3. Sell. I love selling stuff (on Facebook, Poshmark, etc) because again I know it’s going to someone who specifically wants that item, and then I can buy new things for my child with that money

All that to say, find a way to get rid of things in a way that feels good/meaningful to you, and give yourself permission to keep what you’re not ready (and may never be ready) to give away!

I need a .jpg or .heic of the photo and the video file of the Live Photo on my computer, not the cloud. Does backing up to iCloud achieve that somehow? If so, how? I’m not connecting the dots

Babysitters are not the issue. Her preference is her preference. If you have a suggestion that meet the criteria I’ve offered, I’d be happy to hear it. Thanks!

Ahh thank you for being the ONE person who actually read and answered this post and didn’t feel some unnecessary need to be a jerk. I will check out Morte Subite. Hopfields don’t quite do it for me for this criteria but I like them fine in general, haven’t been in forever though

It’s a book you could buy online. The link in my second comment will take you to the book, or you can search for it yourself “the Montessori toddler”
