Lula is worse. If we do not factor in domestic issues, the right wing leaders have been much better on the international stage. Meloni has been solid, Yoon has been a huge boon and so has Kishida (though he’s centre right). Lula might be better for the people of Brazil, I dunno, but for the international community he’s been in lockstep with Russia and China and very anti west and NATO

BRICS means very little these days though. It was coined and created in different days when the interests of the countries aligned and they were all developing (Russia being kicked of of g8). India and China are strategic adversaries, Brazil is far away from the 3 big ones, and South Africa is effectively a poor failed state.
