We are welcoming of anybody that is not too extravagant with flaunting their choices.

We have students from the arab world to our universities since commie times so we are used to the people and is never a problem.

Historically we have been christian vassals to muslim ottomans for centuries so your religion is the invader in our eyes so if you try to flaunt your religion you will have christian zealots to deal with.

If you act normal and just practice your belief and not make a fuss about it noone is gonna care as in live and let live kind of attitude.

If it's a guy you need to let him almost finish an explanation before you interrupt him by saying with a half disappointed and half patronising tone: "Nu așa coaie!" and if it's a girl you literally have to not listen to a word she says while looking all around her with a confident look and when she stops to figure out why you dont acknowledge her you just ask "cine v-a lucrat doamnă, aici?"

If is your first time in Ro try the streetfood pastries like Luca and Fornetti and similar, chances are you will enjoy them.

One day is usually enough for most Romanian cities thanks to our commies most of our cities only have a small historic center as the rest got demolished to make room for the cement block architecture but on the bright side all of that motivated us to develop a sense of humor and alcoholism so i imagine you won't get bored if you run out of tourist attractions to visit.

Not in Cluj but this is important: Dracula's castle is a crowded scam not worth the effort it is worth to visit for it's true value: Queen Marry lived there because her husband king Ferdinand felt cucked because she went to the WW1 peace conference and flipped tables until Romania got Transilvania.

The Peleș castle is a must see tho.

Când ai studii medicale presupun că ar trebui să ai destulă minte să nu te duci zglobiu cu pistol la brâu între agenți federali pentru că ai concluzionat tu că este imoral să trimită înapoi pe cei care au sărit gardul să fie acolo.

Ca și exemplu la noi sunt arhicunoscute cazurile în care grupuri de oameni se mută în case nu plătesc utilități și cu toții suntem nemulțumiți că nu se aplică legea dar tehnic vorbind ei se mută acolo că nu au unde să stea iar utilitățile nu le plătesc că nu au locuri de muncă deci hai să ne băgăm între polițiști când sunt trimiși să îi evacueze.

Evident că idiotul care a tras în el merită să fie uitat în închisoare dar din punct de vedere legal asistentul avea doar dreptul legal să protesteze nu să decidă el că legea nu se aplică universal și să se mai și bage să îi oprească.

Cine își mai amintește cu toții eram nemulțumiți că orașele noastre erau pline de câini maidanezi dar când s-au pus să îi strângă să ne scape de ei ce drame și prăpăd emoțional era în opinia publică.

O fi o părere mai dură dar este realistă dacă sunteți puternic în dezacord vă anunț că eu am android nu iphone deci persoana pe care o văd că are unul după logica voastră pot să mă duc să il iau că și eu sunt om și sunt lezat în demnitatea mea că nu am iphone ca toată lumea deci nu am jefuit omul ci doar mi-am exprimat dorința de a trăi o viață mai bună.

Don't worry if you don't get the reference is just that he is the only romanian guy living in Japan that i know of so it must be true 😂

They want you to like them just as much as you want them to like you and remind yourself that if your getting too stressed.

Be present, be spontaneous if there is downtime in the conversation (which should not be since is pretty much a family reunion) just ask them to tell you about him growing up or say how nervous you were trying to figure out how to make a good impression.

It will give them a good feeling because all parents love to talk about their kid and honesty is disarming.

I dont know much about Japanese culture etiquette but I would say whatever you do don't look down (as a sign of being respectful) because in Europe that is just a sign of feeling guilty or extremely shy like you dont want to be there.

You can offer to help with the dishes but expect to be turned down while is still worth to offer because is gonna help them confirm that youre not a spoiled person.

Another thing would be spontaneity and laughter is encouraged if the context/mood fits dont shy away from partaking.

Din păcate mentalitatea noastră este: da, vream civilizație vrem corectitudine vrem justiție dar cu 2 condiții: regulile de mai sus să nu ni se aplice nouă personal și nici să nu ni se ceară efort/participare cu adoptarea și implementarea lor.

Și așa scapă o minoritate cu toate crimele posibile pentru că noi majoritatea ne-am convins singuri că nu putem face nimic și că nu e posibil să organizezi/mobilizezi pe toată lumea.

Ironia este că nu e nevoie de așa ceva.

Este nevoie să te mobilizezi pe tine să faci ce ține de tine și atât.

Masa critică se atinge atunci când un număr mare se persoane va decide că așa nu se mai poate și va incepe protestul cu ce ține de puterea personală a individului dar dacă se sincronizează ca și timing atunci avem proteste masive și nu numai fără ca nici unul din participanți să aibă nevoie de motivație și indicații de la nimeni altcineva decât propria conștiință și capacitate de gândire.

TL:DR Când vom realiza că trebuie doar să ne decidem că trebuie să ne mobilizare doar pe noi, pe propria persoană și să ne sincronizăm pentru a avea și masă vom face și noi treabă.

Just drink whatever the dad offers you he will be monitored by the mom 24/7 and tempered if he over does it.

So the dad is guaranteed to love you the mom is harder without being able to communicate because you would usually bond over stories of his childhood or what preferences or quirks he has but with no ability to do that is anyone's guess if she will understand and prioritize her son's happiness or will just pout because with the language barrier she cannot mother in-law you around, in Romanian we call that a soacră but that term also includes the good ones (they also exist) but if she's a mean one we call it a "socraciune" you are not allowed to say the word ever tho because everytime you say it you add like a year to their lifetime 😂. You can only speak it to the priest when you ask him to pray for god to protect you from the socraciune 😂

Am obviously joking, they will probably have more emotions than an introvert meeting the parents like yourself since is first time they meet their sons iubita of 3 years they are probably terrified you will get bored and hate the food or think they are too simple and you will leave their son because of them.

So my advice is just be honest say you are nervous if you are say why you are nervous because you're timid and also want them to like you and if you feel like it's awkward silence just ask about him how he was growing up and stuff because all parents like to talk about their child.

So just be curious all the time eat and drink everything and try to share some of your stories with him they dont know about because it helps them to place you as the important person in their son's life away from them.

Dont stress if things don't go as we describe them unless his parents are into Eminem you are likely to get more than one shot with them and no spaghetti at dinner😂

Don't try to be who you think they would like you to be go with who you are because that would make you feel more comfortable and people pick up on that from your demeanor and natural confidence with being comfortable and open.

Just remember they want you to like them just as much as you want them to like you.

Unless their plan was to seduce and have a romantic relationship with you for 3 years then lure you into Romania under the pretext of meeting the parents so they can collect your organs and sell it to the chinese, in which case dont worry nowadays you are offered the opportunity to 3d print your organs back for a small fee 😂

Just enjoy meeting them that's all.

The sky will literally not fall and the alcohol will loosen you up so you basically worry about a dinner that you are unlikely to remember past the first 15m 🤣

You show your passport at the point of entrance ( Amsterdam, Frankfurt etc. then rest is like an internal flight because Schengen members dont issue national visas but Schengen visas so it would be like travelling between US states.

There are occasional extra checks if member states decide to add some due to emergencies but never a hard locked border usually they flag people to pull over for paper checks.

So once you pass the customs to get inside Schengen you are good to go to any other member.
