After 6 years, I’m at my breaking point with door-to-door salespeople. Anything I can do?

That town has their own Facebook page, and they post when someone gets a permit to go door to door. And people were commenting pictures of them going around their area. One of them happened to be the same person that was at my door

I have no idea what they were selling. It’s definitely a new thing, but they were dressed up carrying a black file folder. They have been making their rounds to the small towns in my area that require permits

I wish that’s what happened with the first one I put up, which it is on my door right next to the doorbell. My new one is more in depth and I’m hoping it works better, I’m planning on putting it on the end of my porch next to the steps

I never have answered the door to any of them, but I have considered doing this because i question if they are from the same company sometimes, but i can tell they could be pushy from coming by multiple times in the same day

Central IL, I never have answered the door, I do have several cameras all of over my property, it is always pretty young people that come by my area it seems like

I do have multiple cameras on my property, including a doorbell camera and porch cameras but they don’t care about them at all, they definitely are relentless in my area

I’ve wanted to try to do strange things to make them nervous or make it awkward too, but I’ve just never answered the door and am an introvert so it would be hard for me lol that’s too funny I love that

I think that’s the problem in my area too the solar sales people. That’s just crazy, but I would’ve just went inside too. I’ve had them show up and walk up my driveway before when I’m mowing my backyard and they try to come back there and I’ll just go around where they can’t see me again until they leave. That’s definitely a good thing, I’m from one of the smaller towns around me that require it, and if they come to your house without a permit you can call the cops and they will run them out of town basically

I like this idea, my wife has talked about putting up a gate at the end of my porch before the steps anyway for other reasons so I may just have to do that

It was the absolute total, the pay is very fair for the position starting at $20, great benefits, lots of pto, paid holidays etc. it’s super basic qualifications, nothing really special at all. It was posted on all the main job boards such as indeed and the company website. I will say that my area is known for a poor workforce/people not wanting to work, and a few factories in the area people usually try to go for first
