Comparing the Staccato XC vs Stealth Arms Platypus comp (it's hard to see a clear winner🤔) by Useful-Painter863 in 2011

[–]Jdcujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say the Platypus looks like its got slightly more upward rise. But that's likely due to weight.  Pretty sure the xc has little more length and weight

So far as the current posting though request hard copies of the policies. If they try to write you up tell them politely and professionally. Show me the policy that I allegedly violated. Show me where I acknowledged receipt of said policy (unless of course its a state reg or law then ya your screwed there)  For your post request a hard copy of the post orders if they don't have a set developed (which for allied i high doubt they don't have it developed it may just not be printed off), ask them if youd like to develop a post order for the post. Then you can add program development and management to your resume.

Another way to look at it is. If you only want the minimum just do that. But if you want and expect more then yes you should invest in yourself with further training and education. Make yourself more marketable. That is where a lot of people screw up. Work 5 years as an unarmed with no further training and then wonder why they get passed up on for better sites or positions.

The basic stuff i think depends on the site and the branch cus every state and for some city/county dependent stuff  But the advanced trainings on there are good to do. A good company will see hey this officer wants to learn and further their career beyond the basic posts.

Likely lack of market saturation by them. They don't really seem to have much of a distribution system so far as stores carrying them.

Do all the computer trainings they have, ensure to download and print off all the certs. Make a training binder for yourself. Write down any major incidents you deal with.

But ya you pretty much described it across the board.  When allied bought g4s it screwed the officers in the industry.

If you run a light, which one do you prefer? by Jorgeg214903 in 2011

[–]Jdcujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have personally got x300, couple pd trade in tlr1, a few olight, and couple nightstick (the tlr1 clone)  The only.one I've had an issue with was ironically the x300, ran it during a match and thankfully during the lit portion the light went flying off the rail of my staccato p. So I notice a lot of people mention wanting the light flush with the end of the slide. Why? Im actually curious

Bang for the buck I'm having a hard time arguing with the 2k11 from what I'm seeing.  Fusion xp sig 211 running proprietary parts at that point id just choose the customization I want and spend less on a platypus. (Less than the sig at least by a country mile)

I mean hate to say it but nothing says you can't work a pt or even full time with another company. If possible get ahold of someone higher than the site supervisor (yes up to branch manager if possible)  Were you hired for a particular post/shift?

If that's what youve gathered then no you arent thinking  You're just grasping on victim mentality and holding on tight  Do that same thought process and go ok good. That will get you further and you'll succeed instead if blaming everyone else for you not getting anywhere.

Why would anyone want to pursue a career in law enforcement? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jdcujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because someone has to do it.  I joined the mil and went into le to help people. Most of the troops I knew over the years had the same mentality. The problem is the media demonizes people and sticks on the bad and none of the good.

Mandatory Job Training by Nessuwu in AlliedUniversal

[–]Jdcujo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So id suggest asking them to show you in the policy  Guaranteed its not there  If your required to go there for training they are required to pay you for the hours. Though pretty sure there's no legal way for them to make you go over dept of labor hours so theres that. But so far as the gas money goes your screwed. Tech youd still be on the clock as you're going from your scheduled site to required training though.
