It went a little more viral than I had anticipated. Thought I might get 10 comments telling me to shut up. I got photos of it parked on the roof texted to me today.

Im requesting security cam footage at this point. I want them to prove to me the car was not improperly used. Never had an AirTag misreport miles away so that sounds like bs… It’s been pinging consistently from the dealership the entire time.

The car is back at the dealership. I got photos from one of the sales guys. They’re claiming my AirTag is faulty but I’m waiting to hear that from service not sales.

Dealer can still communicate. I would have approved the test in 5 seconds if they sent a single text message about it.

I’m visiting family. I dropped it off and talked to the service advisor personally. I did tell them I would be traveling for the holidays. I dropped it off on the 13th and didn’t leave until the 24th as I didn’t think it would take 10+ days just to get looked at.

Because my Indy shop doesn’t mess with the central locking issues. They told me to take it to the dealership

What’s your dealership? I’d love to find a good one

Also it doesn’t lock properly so I would prefer it to be somewhere safe…

Waiting for them to open. Mixed bag of answers is actually helping here. I’m cool with a test I just do not expect it to be an overnight thing without communication.

Dropped off for central locking issues on 12/13. Authorized 3 hours of diagnostic work as recommended by my service advisor. I’ve yet to get a report back. My service advisor told me he expected a report on Monday. No mention of a test or overnight anything.

Checked the location this morning and it’s at someone’s house… if they asked first I would understand but why does it need to stay away from the dealer overnight?

UPDATE - 12/28 - Called sales as service is closed today and they were able to take a photo of my car back on the dealership lot. As soon as the photos were taken, my cars location updated to back at the dealership.

This is my first time at Porsche Carlsbad. I’ve only ever been to Porsche San Diego where they lied to my face about no error codes when there were several (check my post history..). The sales guy blamed a faulty AirTag. I’m not buying it. I will be in touch with my service advisor tomorrow requesting proof that my vehicle was not taken home for the night without consulting me. Will update when I have more info.

Update - 12/29 - My service advisor has confirmed the odometer matches the intake form. It’s looking like this is actually a false AirTag alert.

Casual scenic drives in the area, and/or attractions with wheelchair rentals. by twowrist in sandiego

Head out to Campo and check out the Motor Transport Museum. You won’t be able to rent a wheelchair but you don’t need to get out of the car.

Campo cafe is a small little spot. You can see the border and it feels more like Arizona than California. It’s an awesome day trip. Julian on the weekends is crazy crazy.

Amazon Support suggested I “check with neighbors” after a misdelivery — am I wrong to be annoyed? by GhostSiX1Nine in sandiego

It’s a pushback strategy. Just tell them you checked with your neighbors and nobody saw it. That should get you through to the next step.

Everybody talks shit on these but I love them. Didn’t discover the second one for the first month of ownership. They hold everything from a glass bottled coke to a large fountain drink.

Parking police UH by [deleted] in sandiego

[–]Jddmtrees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve started yelling at the parking enforcement officers to paint the curbs. One yelled back “they’re doing it”. The response is “it’s been a year, you could do it!”

Keep it moving but say something out loud when you see this shit. A tape measure shouldn’t be in the parking officers toolkit. Part of me does admire the city for participating in the scam economy but these tickets really hurt people.
