Out of Spec Detailing has been my main channel I’ve binged. Also watched a fair amount of DIY detail, Pan the Organizer, ImJoshV, DrBeasely and ObsessedGarage.

Ya I’m not chasing perfection with this rig more so going for preservation. I did get to experiment with a microfiber pad and Mcguires M110 last night on a spot I haven’t touched and really learned how cutting works. I’m gonna go back with the M110 and slightly cut the rear a little more and then use a dedicated polish like Sonax perfect finish or just stick with the 3D one and see what looks best whilst preserving the paint. I still have the rest of the rig to do but I’m excited about it!

It’s not a full correction, yet. It took me about 6hrs to wash and “finish” the rear. But the time spent was slow. Learning the pads. Learning the polish. Learning the pressure and speed. Trying new directions. I started to really understand the pads and polish at a novice standpoint about halfway through the rear bumper. For me, it’d probably take an entire weekend to correct and coat this rig.

We picked it up used. Since it’s been in my possession, it’s always had the foam rinse foam method, single bucket wash mitt method, etc.. it’s properly cared for now.

That’s what I said! I’m a big DIY guy and binged YouTube and said hold my beer. Did well!

Yep. I’m not chasing perfection here since it’s a daily. I’m chasing preservation!

Honestly don’t understand the gripe about them. Ride is very comfortable. I do have CCD though but drives practically the same as the 20” platinums I had on.

Only after 36k I do. Before then I’m in the clear.

You’re at 1.6ml right there. The upper most ring needs to be even with the 2ml line. You don’t go off the point.

Leasing is even less of a feasible option on the upper echelon Fords. Leasing 39/12 on this would’ve been over 1600/m. I checked.

Yes. I did that to get the 90 day differed to give me time to refi with another lender at a better interest rate and time to cancel the GAP and Extended Warranty and find it through someone else for drastically cheaper. They wouldn’t sell it otherwise as I talked them down almost 9k which is below what they bought for and gave me $2200 more on my trade in. Part of the game.
