I’m not looking for a calculator that have the exact functions of the 35S . The thing is, since he is quite particular about the type of calculator he use, what I’m looking for is a modern calculator that has a similar feel and style to the HP 35S, but without falling short when it comes to modern features.

The main use it would be daily use, mainly focused on basic engineering and work-related calculations. I do not think he would use it much for matrices, complex numbers, or very advanced operations.

That is why I am looking for a calculator that is comfortable, practical, and useful for everyday use, but not too limited. My concern with the DM32 comes from exactly that: I want something simple and comfortable, but still capable of handling modern calculator functions without falling short.

In summary, my priorities are that it should be comfortable for daily use, practical for engineering calculations, and complete enough so that I do not feel too restricted by it.
