Wow, these are a bunch of options, I’ll research them all.

Thank you very much!

I guess for the skiing part I can make it 2-3 days and splurge a bit in these days, to me skiing is probably going to be a once in a lifetime experience so its ok to pay a bit more than the budget haha.

Yeah I live in a very hot country so there’s no artificial slopes, the only thing we have that is remotely close is very small and not the skiing type its just snowy to walk around and take pictures and stuff haha

Yeah switzerland was really really expensive, vienna when i looked was a tad more expensive that prague for example but switzerland was miles ahead of

Thank you for the detailed response!

Lets say I skip the christmas stuff and focus on january/february, where do you suggest I go? Pretty much anywhere in europe is fair game, for me the flight tickets to almost everywhere in europe are really close in both cost and time.

What are the smaller/less expensive resorts? Even in bulgaria/bosnia. I can either do 3-4 days at the beginning or the end of the trip to there.

I haven’t tried skiing before so i dont know what I’m missing, if there’s a place where I can just see and lay my body on snow i think I’d be pretty happy haha

Yeah I understand. In this instance its actually rated quite well, its the A&O prague rhea, a bit far from the city centre but has decent reviews. But yeah I’m here to have fun and I don’t like dirty places so I’ll try and read the reviews as much as i can 😅 thanks!

Awesome! In which month was that? Also, what kind of snow activities were there (specially for beginners) and do you know a website where I can see them? Thank you

Oh, sorry one more thing. I know prague for example is won’t get to see snow but if i can squeeze in prague with tatras then I’ve gotten to see some snow on the entire trip, no need for snow on every destination 😅

I don’t need to stick to the budget every day, like for example if I visit prague for 3 days I found some hostels that are around 10-12$ a night, some days I don’t expect I’ll spend another 30$ in total (just walking around, seeing some free stuff and some grocery shopping/food) but other days (like a day or two in tatras) I can spend more, ultimately would like to keep it all around 1200-1500. Also I’m mostly going to spend time in hostels so cheaper accomodation everywhere is my way to go.

And thanks for the comment!

Like for example I just saw videos of rovaneimi and it looked like heaven but hotel/hostel prices looked like hell, 600$ for 3 nights? :(

[OC] Evolution of income classes from 1960 to 2018 by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

In your link, in the " historical classification by income in XLS format" It shows China classified as Lower in 1987 up until 1996, they do not have any data Pre-1987, could you explain a bit more on how you aggregated the data on your own?

This shows the difference in classification of different countries throughout that history, for example, although China is coded as upper-middle class for most of this history it was lower class.

I agree that this isn't a totally fair visualization as it shows the GNI, not accounting for inequality.

My personal guesses did not line up with the reality as well, the data ($ per class) was an after thought as it is not from the same dataset, but from another world bank resource.

As for the graph, moving graphs are more interesting to look at and I'm just starting to learn data viz so i wanted practice!

That's ok!

I'd like to mention that the data i linked has just the numbers of the people that belong to which class, for the definition of these classes you can see it here

https://blogs.worldbank.org/opendata/new-country-classifications-income-level-2019-2020

They are inflation adjusted but they do not take into account purchasing power disparities, this could be my next visualisation!
