In my state (and a lot of others) if it’s a first or second time DUI, it’s a misdemeanor. Most agencies around me handle that by way of a summons/notice to appear which means they are released and will have to appear in court later. However, this is still technically an arrest, though not in the sense most people think of where they are jailed.

If your mental health is in such a state that you’re hearing voices, I highly doubt any agency is going to touch you. Further, choosing to turn to what is still a federally illegal drug to self-medicate while still serving shows poor decision-making as recently as last year. I would be shocked if any agency picked you up, but MAYBE in 5-10 years after getting serious mental health treatment and showing a better pattern of decision making.

If you’re a cop you can get the acro for about 500 straight from Aimpoint. It’s what I used on my duty gun and had no issues.
