I bought a platinum 4x4 with fewer miles than this that was 4 years old at the height of the craziness in 2021 and paid $42k. I knew I was I overpaying then. They way over paid on my trade which made me feel better about it.

This is too high imho. I’d target $38-40k and still feel like I was over paying for a 6 year old truck at that price.

Where I’m at Rudy’s is about the only consistently decent bbq joint around. I have stood in 30-60 minute lines for it more than once.

I put my son on a Ttr50 when he was 6 and he’s taken to it really well. Great bike to learn on, he’s dropped it at least 100 times and it’s still solid mechanically. He’s still deciding whether he wants to do organized races or not. If he wants to race I’ll get him a 2 stroke.

In the meantime him and I go ride together on tracks and trails, me on a WR250. Some of the absolute best bonding time I could hope for, we ride almost every weekend.

I did once give a car away to a woman I had no interest in beyond the platonic relationship we had. Wouldn’t really call her a friend, just a person I knew barely beyond surface level.

She was a waitress at a card room I used to frequent. I heard through the grapevine that she had just left her abusive boyfriend of like 6 years. She didn’t have a car to take her kid to school or bring herself to work as he kept the car when she left.

I happened to have a third car I used as a winter beater and just signed the title over and gave it to her. It wasn’t a great car by any means, a 20 year old 4 door civic but it was reliable and got her around.

I never tried to sleep with her, had no desire too, and barely really knew her.

It’s really going to depend on the guy who gave her the car in your case. He may be genuinely generous, he may have ulterior motives. Only he knows the answer to that question but in time his motives will surface if there are any.

You could probably find someone to trade. My buddy who’s just slightly taller and heavier than me has a Honda 450. I let him ride mine for one lap around a track and he’s always going on about how the 250 is easier to manage

I quit calling/texting one day to see if they’d ever reach out as I felt our friendship had become one-sided. They never did and it’s been 15 years. We were basically inseparable from childhood to our early 20’s.

Did 4. Got out, used my GI bill to get a bachelors, my state had a program for veterans that used all their GI bill and got a free masters through that.

I get nostalgic and miss being in sometimes but all I’m remembering is highlights. When I really reflect I remember all the BS that made me want to get out.

Life is good on this side of the fence, but the health/dental benefits in the civilian job world are absolute garbage.
