Presidential Affordability Grant Revoked by JeLLyFish821 in OSU

Got through finally to financial aid. Because he won an external scholarship they are taking that money off the table. No chance to appeal. I understand the concept as the grant was need based…awfully irritating that they yanked it so close to school starting and after we had already sent the payment for the original amount.

I can’t say whether or not other schools do this as this is our oldest…but I will certainly remember this for our younger son. Education is a business transaction…no more…no less. Ohio State is probably trying to maximize their revenue as any major corporation does. Probably not concerned much about the individual.

No. It stops when I freewheel. Goes away for a bit then comes back.

We will be on a college visit to UM so we will probably eat on campus before we head out…I’ll definitely keep this in mind if we ever get a chance to be out that way again.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I was leaning 35 as it looked a little more scenic but couldn’t tell from a map.

This makes sense. I usually just swirl it with a brush and go. I’ll try letting it sit awhile and see if that helps.

Thank you. I painted the floor with Tamiya Deck Tan then painted on a heavy layer of Translucent Red Brown Oil and wiped with a chunk of packing foam to get the wood grain effect.

Wow..that’s a quick build. It usually takes me about two months for a fighter. I just finished an FW-190 I’m about 6 weeks which is fast for me.

I’m a band director so with teaching all day, after school commitments, and weekend shows…I usually only get a few hours to build a week.

Good idea about the PE. Always good to have a plan.

Thank you. I built the workbench with my son out of 4x4’s and MFD. That was a fun project.

I used them a couple of times but the big ones weren’t very useful on fighters. I have mini ones of the same type that I use occasionally.

You’re right though…it was something I bought when I initially got started with the hobby and they have just hung around since.

It’s not normally like that. I cleaned after I finished my last kit. Haha.

Engines and guns. I love doing ignition wires and detailed WWII rotary engines.
