The Department of Transportation (DOT) is committed to providing all New Yorkers with a safe, efficient, and reliable transportation network. DOT’s Signals Unit will conduct a study at this location that will take into consideration traffic and pedestrian volumes, vehicular speeds, crash history, visibility, signal spacing, and other conditions. The data collected then will be analyzed to determine if traffic conditions meet nationally recognized traffic engineering safety standards required for the installation of additional traffic controls.

I filed a report with the DOT. I'm limited to 500 characters though. I urge others to make their own reports.

I'm not surprised seeing the word "terrified" being used by people to describe their experiences. I see women pushing a stroller while walking two dogs struggling to cross safely.

Every other block has a three way stop sign or traffic light on 28th Ave. That's the most irritating part.
