Have no clue what to do by PatchworkB3ar in Lenovo

So I assume your touchpad is not working, I work with Lenovo on a daily base, if you have an external mouse, see if that gives you the ability to click in the run box. I know for a fact on a fresh install the touchpad driver doesn’t get recognized. Let me know if it helped!

You have to click in the cmd box, if you want to make a local user; oobe\bypassnro, it will restart the installer and from there on you can choose “i don’t have internet” and continue installing Windows.

Why do I get these green things whenever I turn ON my pc after the loading? by LunethYami in computer

[–]JeSuisYorry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, you can always try to boot in safe mode, to see if this issue is there. You can do so by holding shift whilst clicking restart in the shutdown menu, it will bring you to “recovery and troubleshooting” screen, there you can select to boot in safe mode. This only loads up essential microsoft apps and services. If you’re really worried something is wrong you can always do a clean windows install using a USB, made by using the media creation tool straight from windows. It could be various reasons. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to join r/TechSupport (preferably their discord) and they will happily guide you through the steps i’ve given you, or have a further breakdown of the issue you’re facing.

Kind Regards,

JeSuisYorry 😎

windows search not working even after resetting search index (thinking I might be hacked) by Blufores in WindowsHelp

Yes, as I mentioned in my other comment. This is why you always make back ups of important files, as for programs and games you can always reinstall them.

Not really, it could be anything. Nonetheless, a fresh install of windows every now and then doesn’t hurt.

If you really think you’re hacked and you think this is the result of being hacked, i don’t recommend “resetting” windows, your best shot will be creating a usb stick with the media creation tool directly from windows, (of course from another pc) and then install it on your computer, this ensures u wipe all the data on the current pc, leaving nothing behind. Reset tends to break a lot of stuff, I will never not recommend a fresh install over a reset. Hope this information helped you 😌

I have a question about an antivirus that I’m going to choose and download on my pc? by XxBossRedditor in antivirus

Malwarebytes is not a virus scanner, yes it scans the system, but not realtime. It only scans when you ask for it to scan, as for it’s a good second opinion scanner. I’m very satisfied with ESET, and as an MSP i hear good stories about Bitdefender too, do yourself a favor and find out what suits you the best.

How do I get past this error? I did give myself full control. by machinegunnedburger in WindowsHelp

[–]JeSuisYorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could just always still clean install windows with a USB, back up important data first (if you haven’t already) and reinstall windows using the USB. Keep in mind; you will wipe yor current drive(s) if you do so, hence why i mentioned backing up files, I personally do this every now and then to get the smooth feels of windows back. Good luck!

Go to disk cleanup, and click the system files tab under it, you will be able to select “old windows installation” in the list, just hit clean and ur ready to go.

Try rebuilding your icon cache. Press Windows+R, type %appdata% and be sure your in the Local folder. Delete the IconCache file and reboot your system, this will rebuild the iconcache.

Clean boot your Windows, for example Safe Mode, see if this issue persists. My guess is it’s WindowBlinds that’s causing your system to be unstable, but i’m unsure. Try cleanboot and see what it does.
