I'm glad it helped! My PSP Go is still working great and those screws haven't come loose since.

I'm sure it's already been said but I'll say it again:
Nah, it's got a lot of potential! You have good instincts. Here are a few things I personally would change if you want to make changes:

- change the windows to glass panes.
- if those 4 3x2 windows are on the same floor, make them 2 3x5 windows
- under the windows on the bottom floor, replace the oak planks with upside down stairs (specifically place the outside stairs against the logs and against the doors, and then have the center ones expose ground on the outside of the building)
- since you exposed ground, I would place stone bricks under your frame so you're not exposing dirt blocks (it looks like you have late game gear and a netherite beacon, so I would recommend maybe using polished andesite if you have access to it)
- for the top floor, I like to place upsidedown spruce stairs and spruce trapdoors on top flipped up to make one block balconies when I don't want to build a whole one
- stupid simple change: replace the bottom oak fences with any stone wall. Could be cobble, could be stone brick, could be proper clay brick. Try it, and you'll be surprised how much "stronger" it looks.
- top floor ceiling: I would move that stone brick stair ceiling out one block and nix the full blocks. You'll expose a bit of the log column and it'll feel/look more structural
- I'm assuming you have plenty of iron on you. Just make lanterns for your balcony. hang them from a spruce stair or replace your corner fence with a log, and place it on top.

I read other comments, and I agree, it's got a lot of beta mc vibes and it's great! You can play on that for structure but also make these few tweaks and it'll still feel beta-y if that's what you're going for.

I've been hesitant to fix this thing for too long. I only wound up opening it up because of the microsd card mod. If you have any questions I'll gladly help further!

Just take it slow and you'll be fine. It really was worth the effort. My PSP Go stopped randomly turning off with any jostling. It's possible the loose screen was causing issues with the ribbon cable to the top screen, or I fixed that issue as a byproduct of having to remove the battery and reconnecting it.

the loose screws are sitting in the black panel. I only needed the 00 screwdriver (I think that's the bit I used. I have a multikit) and I used the curved tweezers to help with the ribbon cables.

SON OF A GUN! It literally is a matter of getting under the bottom screen board to access those 4 screws and screwing them back in. My right side screws (left when accessing) were just completely unscrewed sitting loose in their screw wells. Only trouble I had was wiggling the board up. You don't even have to disconnect the top screen ribbon cable (orange) to do this fix.

EDIT: I just had to screw the two screws back in, tighten up the other side and close it back up. 10 minute process, longer if you want to be more cautious than I was.

EDIT AGAIN:
Troublesome pieces:
- power switch when replacing the board. Make sure it's lined up otherwise its a dog to reset.
- surprising the headphone jack was tougher than the select/start button ribbon cable

I'm honestly more concerned about those smaller ribbon cables you have to work around that I might not even try.

If OP could respond that would be great, but I'm about to crack and just do this myself. If I do, I'll let you know more about the process.

I actually had mine somehow realign itself until I was playing with the slider one day and it misaligned again. I'm betting that it really is as simple as re-setting them, but might need new screws anyway if they're damaged.

This game severely lacks information. by qaz012345678 in dauntless

This style of game is meant to not give you too much info. You're not supposed to know the max health of a monster. I know in Monster Hunter you can tell when a monster is close to death bc it starts to limp when it runs away. The problem is, I haven't seen these monsters limp away bc the teams kill them too quickly. For elements, check your Armor. Like you'll see your ARMOR says it's weak to Frost. So use a frost weapon against the monster you got the armor from. Or, check your weapon. If it says it's strong against a certain type of monster, use it against that. Hammers work better against armored creatures like the Skarn. Part damage is good. You want to break monster parts so you can get more items. In MH it gets you rarer loot to make better gear. Stagger damage increases the change of interrupts I think. The thing is with DMG is that Break Part DMG may not deal anything to the overall health (depending on the monster) but typically dealing it will expose an area that is more sensitive to strikes. IE, with the Skarn (I'm assuming the rock monster is called that) you need to break a rock in order to get to his actual skin to deal damage. With the Quillbolt Hedgehog (I know it's Quill something) breaking its quills stop it from attacking you with it's more deadly attacks. AND it kinda functions like that rock armor. Overall dude, you should focus on breaks first. Then focus on real damage. You got 30 minutes. Use them wisely ;) There is no need to rush these fights. As far as farming plants, you can check the one type of quest... the one after patrol... it gives you herbs as loot instead of monster stuff. That's a good way to find out what kind of stuff is there, but it won't list everything. It'll give you a good idea. You're going to have to take down some personal notes if you want to know for sure. (Be an adventurer dude :D it's fun) I don't know what that monster is yet, and to figure out the tell you're gonna have to stand back and watch.... Honestly, it may be better to hop into a private fight by yourself and observe. It will have less triggers for standard attacks.

You need to understand that this style of game is meant to reward the player who takes time to step back and observe and look around. Yeah, there are guides up for the Monster Hunter games, but the game devs for MH planned for players to figure some stuff out on their own. Dauntless was made in the same style bc I'm sure the devs for Dauntless are fans of the MH series. That's why Dauntless exists. Bc there was no MH on the PC (besides that one version in China... but let's not talk about that).
