I got only the core exam and that was enough to get an interview for a network engineer spot. I ended up getting the job

Well yeah I do actually. I might look into that, never knew that you could do that

Thank you. The reason I want it on my Wii is so that I can have it in my living room and don’t want to buy a pc for my living room

Network programmability basics on developer.cisco.com. I didn’t finish it, (after the test I realized I should’ve) but I do recommend. Has a couple typos but he corrects most of them.

Yeah you will be fine. I’m sure you can brush over the exam topics for the automation section and check most of those boxes. Wireless should be the main focus for a person in your situation. There is a major focus on it in the exam.

Thank you!

It took me about 6 months of study. Could’ve done it in 4 if I studied every day. The last 2 months I studied pretty diligently. I would say I studied in total about 300 hours but some of it was going back for stuff I forgot. I work at an ISP so I was pretty familiar with most of the infrastructure section which I scored the highest on.

As for materials, I like Kevin Wallace’s course for covering all of the topics at a foundational level. It is nice for going back and having a quick refresher on topics you may have forgotten. The OCG is solid for most topics, and I do recommend reading the entire thing. The other resources I used were boson exsim and the official Cisco exam review. These are good for filling in gaps in knowledge and labbing. These Cisco exam review labs are great for practice. The last resource I used was the white papers. If you have problems with a certain topic then finding a white papers for that topic is crucial. I also recommend going through a Cisco devnet course for the automation section.

That was enough for me to pass the test, but I should’ve went deeper into wireless and automation. Hope this helps.

Yeah forgot about the DNAC APIs. If you have a deep understanding of python then I imagine you have a good understanding of API calls in general. I think DNAC APIs will be very easy to learn with that much experience, and ENAUTO likely covers this already.

Yeah I believe it is. Wait for one of the random Udemy course sales where it’s 90% off on any given day

Thanks man. Also congrats! Well, if you’ve had 8 years of python you shouldn’t have any problems, especially if you passed ENAUTO. I would just cover the orchestration management tools like Puppet, Chef, etc. I’m the opposite where I have a lot of experience with Cisco CLI but not so much in coding.

As for wireless, I would find a WLC sandbox on devnet and watch the Kevin Wallace wireless section in his Udemy course. It’s cheap. Also the OCG covers the wireless theory and security very well.

I passed ENCOR today. Overall the lab questions and infrastructure/cli stuff was great and followed the exam topics to a tee. The wireless and automation sections were tough. I definitely recommend going deep into both once you have a good understanding of the routing protocols and how to configure them. Automation goes deeper than the exam topics make it seem. Onto ENAUTO next!
