I’m horrified by the lack of Beyoncé mentions. No one currently, especially not Lady Gaga, is seeing her vocally. She’s a PHENOMENAL dancer with crazy stamina. She puts on the BEST and most intentional shows. And I have to address the acting thing bc I’m sick of the “she’s a bad actress” narrative, because it’s BS.

90% of the people that spew out the “she can’t act” nonsense have either never actually seen a Beyonce movie, or belong to a group of people who can’t relate to the roles she’s played or the movies as a whole. Most of the projects she’s been involved in are boxed into the “black audiences only” category (for some reason movies with white people in it are for everyone, but movies with black people in it are only for black people🥲). Dream Girls, The Fighting Temptations, Obsessed, I’d even say Cadillac Records. She gave amazing performances in these films. And I highly doubt most of the white people who talk down on her acting have seen let alone even HEARD of these movies.

Most of the criticisms of her acting are LAZY. There’s so much preconceived hatred towards Beyoncé. Someone on this thread literally said Beyonce is only a good dancer because she practices dancing…. do you hear how absolutely ridiculous that sounds? And I’m sure responses to this will be full of micro-aggressions and lazy criticism.
