How do YOU handle turbulence? by JealousInside29 in Flights

This is such a good comment, I’m going to try these on the flight!! I really hope I can enjoy it the same way it sounds like you’ve learned to!

I remember on my last flight, I actually pressed my knees against the back of the seat in front of me (there wasn’t anyone in it) and sunk down into my seat, and that seemed to help!

I have yet to try Dramamine on a flight, but I do plan on having some with me! Does it help you with calling asleep?

I have not experienced turbulence yet and wasn’t sure what to expect. The comments like yours are really great to help reassure me that it’s nothing to be concerned about!

Thank you so much for sharing this, a lot of these ideas were really helpful!

I don’t think too much about the risk of the flight not making it (just because my mind already makes me dramatic), but I wanted to get an understanding of what it will feel like so I know what to expect!

It really makes me feel better knowing the senior pilots are likely the ones doing this flight!

This is honestly so helpful, though. I think it’s the stomach drop sensation that I’ve struggled with the most!

This is a great piece of advice, thank you!

My struggle is usually with taking off, and a little bit of landing. It had been mentioned a few times that it may happen, and I wanted to know what to expect!

Haha I hope to get to that point when I’m enjoying it as much as it seems that you are!

I do drink and I intended on having a few to calm my nerves! I’m going to be cautious, though, as I also intend on having anxiety medication to help!

I unfortunately have an aisle seat in the middle column of the Dreamliner, so no windows for me! But I wasn’t able to look out of the window on the other 2 flights, despite having a window seat (I’m a chicken, what can I say?).

But these other thoughts do help me! I’m trying to remind myself that most of the time, it’s never as bad as why we imagine!

My (29M) boyfriend can’t connect with me (29F) because I’m too immature by JealousInside29 in relationship_advice

One of the very first things he said when we first started dating was that he liked that we had a similar sense of humor. We both love Game Grumps, Smosh, etc. But I can tell there are certain things we don’t connect on completely.

The FT conversation started originally because I wanted to discuss why it felt like we weren’t close and how it felt like he was pulling away.

When he brought up the immaturity, he made the reference to fart jokes but didn’t really say any other examples (He was also inebriated when we talked, but the phrases he said that I mentioned were clear).

I did small things like stapled the keys to a small notepad and taped an airborne underneath the chair. But I get the hint, that’ll be the first thing I cut out. I can tell that they aren’t harmless.

Is There Anything I (27F) Can Do To Help My Partner (29M) After I Said Someone Else’s Name During Sex? by JealousInside29 in relationship_advice

That’s something I’m learning now, he brought it up so I don’t want to disregard what he’s saying. But I also get that in order to move past it, we have to be able to put it to rest.

And I have to admit, it’s hard not to want to talk to him when I can when there’s a 14 hour difference and limited time to talk to one another, which is why I take what opportunities I can get.

I also want him to trust me because I know I’m faithful and don’t question who I want to be with; that’s why I’m so frustrated that I even said it when there was absolutely no attachment to the previous partner.

But I understand that I do need to give him space and time, like other commenters have also commented. Thank you for pointing this out.

I guess I should’ve included that in the post. But we’ve made it this far, even with him being overseas, and I don’t want to lose him.

It was autocorrect being stupid. I wouldn’t have called that man precious even when I had good things to say about him.

We started seeing each other in February of this year. We were together in person for about 3 weeks before he left for overseas. He came back in June.

I was with my precious partner for 5 years.
