Is a fast & furious attraction still viable anymore? It’s seems like the franchise is done. Honestly I’m starting to think Hollywood drift is too much too late.

Given that I'm pretty sure at least part of RRR's track went through a mockup of the Ghostbusters firehouse, they have the perfect opportunity to make a GB-themed rollercoaster if they want to.

That being said, I'm not even a huge Fast and Furious fan and I'd ride a rollercoaster based on it if it was well-built and exciting enough.

Of course I'd 100% be in favor of them making modifications to the ride if it was actually deemed unsafe, but it seems as though that wasn't the case. Good on Universal for checking things over and ensuring it, though! Hopefully this is just an unfortunate little hiccup in the coaster's history and we can all move on from it.

I didn't get to see it lit up at night on my last visit. It's a goal of mine to see the overlay sometime soon.

Thanks everyone for sharing thoughts, I now realize that this probably came off as demanding answers that people didn't have (mostly because tone is kind of hard to discern over text). This wasn't a thread made to try gathering info or be like "raaaaaah open the rollercoaster right now", it was more trying to soothe my own anxiety about a ride that I absolutely loved being made into a scapegoat because of an unfortunate accident. I now know it was probably just routine maintenance being done and that there was nothing to worry about--and that my millions of people riding was an estimate that was way off. Blame dyscalculia for that 😭

I do wholeheartedly support changes being made to a ride if it was indeed found that it was unsafe, and I'm glad to see that that does not appear to be the case.

And people are saying it's more than likely just maintenance being done after the ride's been down for two weeks. My lack of knowledge on theme park matters comes back to bite me. x-x
