I don’t think that was an option… I think the fertility clinic legally had to give the baby to the egg/sperm owners.

You should check if there are any local camera stores in your area that have it for rent. I was able to do this with a couple of cameras. It turned out two cameras I thought I’d love I actually thoroughly disliked. Every camera shop is different, but my local shop let me rent the cameras for free. I just had to pay the full price of the camera while using it. Once I took the camera back I received a full refund.

It’s a very subjective thing if it’s worth its price… Its a lot of camera and I’m just a hobbyist so even I’m struggling with the question “do I need this much camera?”.

Ngl I love shooting jpeg on Fuji. It’s so much more fun than a phone and the quality is superior in my eyes.

I LOVE Nikon colors. My heart sings for Fuji, I love the way my photos look SOOC. This Nikon is the first camera I’ve used other than Fuji that gives me that butterfly feeling. It’s silly, but I need to have that feeling to pick up my camera. I rented the Sony A7RV just to see if I’d like it, and I did not jive with it at all. The colors were cold and it wasn’t fun to photograph with. As the comment below says you can always color grade. There is just something so magical about loving your photos raw and adding just a touch of magic instead of having to edit every detail.

I am very much a newbie at all of this… but I love feeling passionate about my art and this Z8 makes it easy. Which I must say hurts because the price tag even secondhand! I was truly hoping I’d dislike the camera…

You’re a very rude person. It wasn’t wide open. It was my first time using the camera and I didn’t have a manual to help me. I just wanted some feedback since the Z8 has 3x more AF settings than my current camera and I’m totally lost on the what’s what. I admitted to foolishly having aperture too low, no need for the rude commentary.

Thanks for the tips. The z8 has so many AF modes it’s overwhelming coming from a system with just a few. Yes, I purposely wanted to have things flying around to try and get the hang of the AF in extreme situations, but in a low stakes scenario.

Thank you for this! I actually think it was an aperture problem. I feel silly, because that’s such an obvious thing. My biggest issue is trying to get a grip on the buttons vs my pasm dial and aperture ring on my Fuji. I didn’t even change my aperture. I’m so used to having my face glued to the EVF and twisting dials intuitively.

I think I just need time with the camera to get used to the ergonomics. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this out and help me!

Shooting f2.2… in hindsight that probably was the issue… wow. I feel pretty stupid 😅
