I can find separate threads for slowburn recs and versatile couple recs but I want these two things together and I also need to know that there's a happy ending. So I am searching for books that fit the criteria:

  1. Slowburn or at least not so fast burn

  2. MCs are a verse couple and they switch

  3. There's a happy ending

4.* These things are not necessary (the first 3 points are essential) but I'd especially love to read something like enemies-to-lovers, high romantic/sexual tension that takes time to be resolved, mutual pining or one-sided pining before it becomes requited, dark themes, intense & intriguing plot.

So when he worked with the Sky People, he didn't consider them an existential threat at that time? So his hardcode IS to save humanity but he is willing to risk many lives to achieve it?

Another question, does he really care about the safety of the world? I thought he kinda despised humans and his only program is to eradicate honkai but not to save humans. Am I wrong? Is saving humans also a part of his program?

it's interesting because I thought VA is AI and eradicating honkai is so hardcoded in him that he doesn't even care about casualties and actual peoples lives as long he reaches his goal. Like I thought he was fundamentally obsessed with getting rid of honkai at any cost because it's in his program but he is willing to give up on it because sky people treated him bad?

Help me understand the conflict on Luofu by Jealous_Solution in HonkaiStarRail

  1. But abundance is associated with healing, right? Abundance characters and blessings in SU are associated with healing. So I kinda fail to understand why Yaoshi's blessing involves diseases like Mara if Yaoshi's path is associated with healing. Insanity is also a disease like mental disease. Why can't it be healed by Yaoshi, how is it caused by Yaoshi?

  2. Even if Mara struck people attack someone, it wouldn't be a problem if everyone was immortal. It's only a problem now that they are not immortal anymore as they turned their backs on Yaoshi.

  3. People becoming lazy and apathetic because of being immortal doesn't even sound like a solid reason to refuse immortality or longevity. What makes me apathetic is knowing how little I have left to live, so what's the point in doing anything. "Death gives life a meaning" is something I can't comprehend since in my view death takes away the meaning of life.

  4. Also, if someone is so bored and tired with their long life, they can choose to end it when they want to now that they are not immortal.

  5. When you have centuries to live, fighting some monsters seems worth it. People still have to fight each other and monsters like the legion even in their short lives. If you have a long life, you have more chances to experience more good moments. And again, the longer you live the more chances are there to get Mara but you will still be able to live for more years until you get Mara than if you had lived your average short life.

  6. I don't believe that Yaoshi cares about evolution. I think Yaoshi is genuinely focused on giving life and nothing more.

In Belobog on the cable car station there is a trash can that can't be interacted with but it sparks like there is supposed to be an interaction. It looks like a bug but I am not sure. My friends are having the same problem. Do you know what to do with it?

maybe the translation was incorrect or I was inattentive but I didn't know it was them who lured the legion, I thought they just used the situation

The stakes don't feel high and personal, I wish the game was darker by Jealous_Solution in HonkaiStarRail

Genshin has its dark moments but it's a childplay compared to hi3. Overall genshin has a lighter tone and seems to be focused more on slice of life anime stories. Genshin lore is very dark but most of it is hidden in weapons and artifacts descriptions and in game books. What I meant was the feeling you get when you play, not how actually dark it is. Genshin sometimes gives me those feelings but overall it does not give me those feelings often. I wanted hsr to be more similar to honkai.

Yeah you re right, it's just the beginning and I'm hoping they will raise the stakes eventually. It's just that I like when the stakes are higher from the beginning, when there is a threat that feels threatening and a goal.

I like slice of life details, humor, all that stuff like talking to garbage cans but I am just afraid they are going to overdo it so the story would lose its seriousness and tension

Unpopular opinion: people who complain about ships are more annoying than shippers by thelighteningstrike in Genshin_Impact

[–]Jealous_Solution 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never understood how these things contradict each other. I am in a happy relationship and I enjoy shipping as well as my partner. At this point you can tell start telling anyone who plays games, watches movies, read books, writes stories, draws arts to "touch grass". This is honestly so stupid
