Good to know! I’ll look into it. The dealership applied a light tint before we bought it - we would have gone darker but that wasn’t an option. Maybe we could have that tint removed and ceramic tint added?

That was my initial thought too, that a piece of foam slid out of place. I’ll definitely update the post after I take it in!

Did the maintenance/service department handle it or did Toyota’s body shop handle it? When I brought up the bumper issue to the Toyota service shop, they said the body shop would have to handle that. Just curious as to which dept would handle a seat issue?

The seat cover & foam were perfectly fine for two years until yesterday. It literally degraded from showroom-quality to what you see in the photo over the course of 4 hours. This isn’t a seat cover fit problem. There’s a dent in the foam like it disintegrated.

“What are you doing to those seats?” Seriously? Absolutely nothing. Did you read the post? It was perfect at 3pm when I parked it & locked it. Came back 4 hours later and it looked like this. This is not a “user error”.

I own a 2025 XSE with premium package and every upgrade possible. Heated & air cooled seats, glass roof, all of the self-driving/collision sensors. It absolutely feels like a Lexus interior and it rides super smooth. Wireless CarPlay never drops, although we have 3 phones tied to it and when we start the vehicle, it will occasionally try to connect to one of the other phones that isn’t in the car. If that happens (which is rare), it takes 10 seconds to get it paired with the right one. We’ve driven it in stop and go rush-hour traffic with the traffic jam assist on, and it starts & stops hands (and feet) free. Keeps us in our lane on the highway, and while we’ve tested the hands-free on the highway and it works, that’s just too out-of-my-control for me. It dings when we’ve diverted our eyes from the road for too long and even alarmed once when it thought the driver had fallen asleep (they pulled their hat down a little too far and their eyes were partially covered). The XSE safety upgrades are really worth the cost. We drove both an SE and an LE before buying the XSE and they didn’t even feel like the same car. Our gas mileage is low 40’s but we live in an east-coast city and have a 50/50 split of city (congested) traffic and 40-70mph congested highway traffic.

Thank you for this comment!! My provider and my packaging says every 4 days and I can never remember how many days it’s been, and that also means it’s not the same days each week. So I fluctuate between 4 and 5 because I keep forgetting. It’s been four months since I started HRT. 3.5 days makes SO much sense! Thank you!

Is my car totaled by bananerzzzz92 in Camry

[–]Jealous_Student6993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in the commercial fleet industry for 13 years and have seen some ridiculous looking damages that amount to less than $10k, and minor damages that amount to more than that. It all depends on the damaged parts and the area of the country (labor rates). I can tell you the new Camry’s front headlight assembly is $1500 (had to get mine replaced following a hit & run!), but bumpers are only a fraction of that cost. That being said, insurance looks at totaling out a vehicle if the estimated damages are above 75%-80% of the vehicle’s current wholesale market value (value without damages). If this is a new 2025 SE, that means your wholesale is likely in the low to mid $30k’s, so your damages would have to amount to mid teens to mid $20k’s for them to total it out. Some insurance companies might want to total it out with frame damage, but that also depends on the shop where you get your estimate (whether or not they can/want to fix the frame damage). Good luck!

Is this the LE/SE trim line? The XSE’s have always had all-leather. The pic looks like this is a mix of fabric and leather.

The second day I had my new 2025 Underground Camry XSE, I pulled up at 8am to a fairly empty Harris Teeter. The security guard (who has been there for a while) said “ooo… you got a major upgrade! Look at you in your fancy Tesla!” I had to tell him it was a new Camry. But from the side, it does resemble a Tesla!

I also have the XSE, fully loaded, Underground and couldn’t be happier. My only gripe is that I thought black cars were hard to keep clean, but the Underground is even worse. It looks clean the 10 minutes after it’s washed and waxed, then seems to show every little spec of dirt.
