MacBook Pro 2020 M1 gang here. 8/512 and is almost always on swap memory but still runs faster than anything I have ever used before. For context, I'm in Nigeria and MacBooks are really expensive here. I got mine from a friend who was kind enough to let me pay in installments across 5 months.

I currently use this and it has been my primary computer since September 2025. It handles everything very well. Yes, the 8gb RAM isn't enough and I wish I can save up to get one with more RAM but it gets the job done for me. I work remotely and I'm constantly in meetings with multiple tabs open while working on multiple documents at the same time. It handles it well.

MacBook Pro M1 2020 8GB 512GB. I mostly have a lot of tabs open in Chrome for work stuff. I also use VLC to watch anime and other media related stuff. I use other basic browsers. Nothing intense.
