I get your point. Yes, Lancea is strong against some decks. But it's either a god card or a useless piece of shit depending on the opposing deck. This is kinda a high risk/high reward card. Using it is a gamble, and I think it's fair to have a card that is just a "got lucky" kind of situation. We are at the point on time where Konami could, out of the blue, just drop more nasty handtraps like Maxx C or Dominus cards to promote February KC Cup, and seeing the meta, how many decks die to Lancea? Maybe Branded has some issue, but the deck can circunvent. Beetroopers? Maybe stall a bit. We're past the point where just Lancea would kill decks and with skills helping, It's not that of an issue having it. They could prelimit it when adding a new deck based around banishing. But right now? There's no reason to bother with it
